What was your preop diet? Mine is yogurt and water for 3 days but I have noticed some do slim fast and shakes. Is it different for due to bmi's?

What I meant to ask was has anyone experienced this and did they know for sure if there was. I was informed there was two blood banks however, I wanted to verify.

Ok so do any of you know if hospitals in mexico have a blood supply incase something goes wrong? Do the surgeons verify what blood type you are? Also, i know some surgeons in the states give blood thinner shots post op, does anyone know if the mexican surgeons do as well? What type of pain meds do they give you? can you drink the next day? I have so many questions still. Help! I have 8 days till surgery,.

Capt, was the bulk head like first class seats? Delta mentioned that when I called! I pictured it being a bench seat with just more leg room.

I ordered my wheelchair for post op flights... Do they upgrade or is it something you have to request and pay extra for? I tried to do that before the flight but it would have cost me an extra 1000.00!

Are all of you sure this fuzzy tongue isn't "thrush"? If it goes untreated it could be very painful and make you pretty sick!

My flight home after surgery will be a little over 4 hrs and I'm very curious to know how some of you survived the flight. I know my gas will be out of control.

Im scheduled for may 17th with Dr. Ponce. Please post how everything went. I heard they dont give you as strong pain meds as they do here in the states. Im curious if what they give and if it is truly not as strong. You will do well. Cant wait to here back from you!

I just read that most people are only to expect to loose 60% of their weight. How much has some of you lost? Are you at goal weight? And what's the average for the first month, second.... Etc?

May date is may 17th.... Today I celebrated my sons 5 th birthday and after looking at pics from his party I can honestly say I can not wait! This time next year I will be at my goal weight and able to keep up!

Oh great... I just got my order a couple days ago. If it's not very good I guess I could mix it with bouillon cubes or canned broth.

I'm so nervous!! I fly out may 17th! So far I have stretchy shorts, loose shirts, camel back cup, gas x, and my Unjury chicken broth came today!!! I don't have a lap top so wonder if I can bring a DVD player? I fear my fiancé will be so miserable couped up in the hosp and hotel! Trish offered to take us sight seeing but don't think I will feel up to it and I don't want to be left alone in the hotel.

I've heard that some can use their hra card in mx to cover some of the surgery cost if the hospital excepts mc, visa, etc... Has anyone used this for their surgery in mx?
