  1. That just sucks . Sorry your going thru that.
  2. That is super creepy. Sorry you had to experience that.
  3. Yes it does. Your body has to relearn how to eat, digest and tolerate food all over again. Try to take it really slow, if that still doesn't work try to go back on liquids.
  4. Yes. I think a lot of surgeons push the gb because it's the gold standard. My doctor pushed it also and I was just admimant that I wanted the vsg. Be firm, it's your body and your decision.
  5. I'm 3.5 months out and already I can handle spicy foods.
  6. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I once read a blog of a mother who lost her young daughter to terminal brain cancer and she said something that was very touching. Her las wish for her dying daughter was may she live until she die. I found it to be comforting, I hope that you can too.
  7. Good luck, before you know it you will be sleeved. Congrats on the quitting smoking. I'm also a big fan of NOLA, I love that city. I just can't seem to get enough of it.
  8. When I had surgery it was rainy and cold for the first 2 weeks. So I just go up and cleaned a bit nothing drastic. And if I had a little bit more energy left I would dance. It's hard but I tried to get up every few hours to move around even if it was just in the house.
  9. Yes it's normal. I stood home for 1 month and every day when my hubby came home from work 5pm I was dead asleep. I still come home and take naps as needed.
  10. I can totally relate. I started to realize how big I really was post op and I started losing weight. I feel like I'm still big, I can't get over the fact that I was actually bigger than I am right now. I also hated being in pictures that was like reality bi/ch slapping me in the face and I just couldn't handle it.
  11. I had them had to self inject for 10 days 2 times a day. I didn't like it, but hey I had to do what I had to do. It was a small price to pay.
  12. Yeah....I feel your pain, I was having one of those days too. I just feel so overwhelmed and super exhausted.
  13. It's gonna be a while. I was at about 3 weeks before I got my energy back. I would get little bouts of energy here and there, however they would go as quick as they came.
  14. I'll have them once in a while. They are 0 carb, but high in fat and calories.
  15. I do get overwhelmed at times, I feel really tired. I must admit that I do have a busy day I work full time, go to school and I'm a wife and a mother. I would say the fatigue will be your biggest obstical as I'm sure your 4 little ones keep you busy. I was a big emotional eater, but I was so pumped about getting surgery, that I have not been emotional or have had an ounce of regret. I'm 3.5 months out and 63 pounds lost. Good luck with your decision.
  16. Wow you look awesome...
  17. I <3 the walking dead cant wait until the new season starts
  18. I've had to admit I've gotten attention. Being a woman I get most attention from other women, not sexual, but women tend to be friendlier to people who weigh less. Today at lunch I had a female cop come up to me just to say hello, in a very matter of fact kind of way. It doesn't upset me as I also notice that post sleeve when I walk around I have a natural smile on my face. So I can honestly say that I am also more friendlier and out going.
  19. My husband was able to download it online for me. It was pretty good.
