  1. either that or you are not (drinking enough). i also had that same surgery and have not felt that way unless i have ate too fast or not drank enough. (only took once and now i am make sure i drink enough and eat slow)..hope you feel better. If in doubt or concerned call your doctor and let them know whats going on.
  2. like xsentric, no problems here either. just cook them up, dice into small pieces and chew....sorry you are having issues....maybe try a different way (hard boiled or something)...
  3. fresh watermelon helps me with this....
  4. i had my surgery on a wed, june 6th and saw my dr for the last time may 30th i had my questions for my dr/nurses the day of surgery. all the best to the wonderful new you
  5. * The most important thing with the band is working with it not against. The band will never stop you from eating ice cream, candy or even crackers. Anything that will melt in your mouth will go right through the band. Once healed make sure you are eating solid Protein, veggies and gasp even fruit. Solid foods give you satiation.* honk you are so right on
  6. well, stick with the camp that works for you you are the one who has to do this and you seem to be doing wonderful. keep that positive attitude and dont worry about the (other stuff-am i making a mistake, what if this, what if that, how comes, am i sure) all the best. it will be here before you know it
  7. just because you can eat whatever you want in any amount doesnt mean you should. the band is just a tool. its up to use to use our mental fortitude and not over eat (merely because you can). as my friends tmf/mis say, try not to eat over a cup of food and protein is first.
  8. i got my protein shakes at walmart and they are 14.99 per cintainer. many different flavors. i drink mine w ff milk and that adds 8 grams protein to my scoop of 30 grams. its awesome when you mix it and put in freezer. almost a milkshake from mcdonalds. i would not have made it through 4 weeks of liquid without this protect. extreme whey isolate.
  9. with that positive attitude, you cant fail congrats and all the best
  10. gonna be tough....being newly banded like you are, you have not hit rock bottom. you are healing. please do not think that way. comparing yourself to others will be your downfall. you and i can be that person who lost 100lbs. we will lose at our own pace. if you think that way, you will not be happy. also, dont get into the habit of weighing each time you pee or poop. your weight goes up and down all day long. its not accurate. weigh yourseld one day a week and stick to it. the band is only a tool to make you feel/eat less. its up to you to be a mental warrior and take care of yourself. you can do this. look at what you did to be able to get ths surgery. you need to start thinking that way again. you can do this.
  11. mine is on my right side, about 3 inches from my belly button. slept on mt stomach with no problem since surgery. if something hurts or is uncomfortable, dont sleep on it yet.
  12. you need to do this for you. if any man leaves someone because they lost weight and made themselves healthy, then good riddance. a real man who married YOU will stay married to YOU no matter what you weigh. so get that type of thinking out of your head now and do this for you.
  13. losing weight, wearing smaller clothes, walking easier again....(already got tats/pierdings)....yep. losing weight and feeling better is all i need
  14. tat, am going to be tough 4 days after surgery?? please know what you did was wrong. hurting yourself is so not worth it. please follow your post op liquid diet requirements. as mis says, we all here have eating problems. we all struggle with bad days, bad times, pms, mad at spouses, bad day at work and other stuff. eating will not solve anything. sure it tasted good for a min or two..but what if something bad happened?? follow honks and familys advice, stop and dont do it again.
  15. if you have been having runny bathroom habits for 2 months, you need to go the ER or your doctor asap and make sure everything is okay
  16. i used in the pureed (and the post op). lots of Protein and enjoyed a taste other than sweet. def kept me going. as i got farther along, added salsa and shredded ff melted cheese. also the veggie-tarian fat free are the type i use (and continue to use)
  17. hi done i had that very surgery and recovery went well. please keep in mind that this is major surgery so expect some pain or discomfort. other people handle pain better than others. my left shoulder hurt and my neck for several days afterwards and with me doing fluids in, fluids had to come out. haha but they give you pain meds to help. i suggest ythis ou use them. again, i am just speaking for me. i am down nearly 40 pounds and hopefully more in the coming future. i highly recommend this surgery. my incisions have healed wonderfully and right at 100% again. please read, ask questions but def keep a positive attitude. you can do it. all the best
  18. **your not alone and we love you. post on here and let us know how you are doing** all the best honey.
  19. during my surgery, i had to wear those stockings that breathed/released to help with the circulation. I also received 2 weeks of lenvenox shots at home that my hub gave to me in my stomach (that didnt hurt one bit) to help prevent this. the drs will take care of you.
  20. my next goal.........to the penis w/bow.........stay tuned for details
  21. this post is so on the penis.......thanks MIS73.......see what you started woman??? at least i wanted a bow on mine......just saying.
  22. so, what happens on a pb episode? am i gonna hack up like a cat per tmf?? i cant picture myself coughing up a furball.....i need details......what can i expect? how do i avoid this?? do all people do this?
  23. hi Jp welcome to this forum. its a great bunch of people. ask anything and you will get some great support. keep up the great attitude. it comes in handy during the hard times. all best
  24. crackers were not on my mushies/real soft foods. try and stick with the tuna/chicken (very shredded/pureed) with ff mayo just to be on the safe side. also refried beans w/ff shredded melted cheese is also very filling....if in question, always refer to your surgeon or the nurses (i called mine when i had questions like this)
  25. tmf, picturing u hacking up that fur ball cracked me up
