  7. i have no fills and am losing....so dont over expectto gain, you must eat more calories than you burn off.. are you doing that?? course not...allow yourself time to heal inside you are healing...and losing whether the scales says it or not...are your clothes looser? do you feel better? are you more mobile??? those are signs that you are doing well...losing inches means you are losing weight... wish more people believed that

  9. i had to first find a lap band doctor in my area that my military insurance approved once that was done, i had to get my PCD to submit a referral to my ins for the lap band dr then i scheduled appt with (lap band dr) got my seminar done and the list of pre op appts to be completed....then after alot of tests, the lap band dr submitted to my ins for approval..best of luck on your decision.
  10. you wrote what my dr told me...eat when i am hungry.. always protein first (to help fill me up) and if i am not hungry, i dont eat...
  11. hmmmm try on a pair of britches that are too small and see how they feel if kinda loose or some more roomy. then you are doing good and i am sure you are..keep going the great job you already are.
  12. lean proteins fresh veggies/fruit no processed/boxed items drink alot and dont take in more calories than you can burn off (otherwise you could gain)
  13. like the others, my dr said coffee was fine.i drink 2 to 4 cups per day stupid question so forgive me, but what exactly is cuban coffee?
  14. you are still swollen from surgery and hence why it seems difficult to get your fluids in therefore, until the swelling subsides, please sip and sip and then sip some more to make sure you stay hydrated...SF popsicles saved me...congrats on your surgery
  15. when i had my gallbladder removed some time ago, after i ate something (the last episode i had sent me to er was after eating pizza no less) and the pain was in between my shoulder blades....and upper back....lord a mercy that hurt....anyhow, just wanted to respond about the could it be gall bladder...and the only way to know for sure is to ask your doctor and maybe get xrayed about stones .....feel better soon
  16. congrats on the year post op. you have done well and i am most sure you will continue to do well. thanks for putting those tips in there. i liked this blog very much
  17. even during (healing) if you take in more calories then you will burn off, then yes you will gain..as missy said and others, making smart caloric choices is critical...the band will work but it works better if (we) help the band..and also, if the scale is not moving but you are losing inches, then you are losing weight..
  18. one meal wont make you gain a zillion pounds...it was a wonderful celebration dinnner. calories be damned...happy anniversary and happy and fabulous job on the weight loss to you..new day, back on program of eating healthy and living life
  19. that is exactly what you are doing...
