  1. i am beyond proud of you
  2. not sure i understand if you threw up, you probably are scared and stressing--so calm down the insides are very swollen and hence why its important not to rush (lesson learned) and why its vital to do what your dr advised post op instructions. just take baby sips the rest of the day or SF popsicles to stay hydrated go slow.....if it feels like its getting worse, call your doctor
  3. follow your dr's liquids post op diet..to the letter your insides are incredibly swollen.....and throwing up so early after surgery is dangerous..sip and sip and then sip some more
  4. its a work out that is for sure lift knees higher, lift arms higher, slow/controlled motions....45 min of moving in oxygen (love it)..who would have thunk that of me in my green sweater on my profile picture....
  5. is step aerobics the same as dance?? if so, i am doing good
  6. this was interesting..i like this guys webpagei read trying to find my step aerobics on that list and where it talked about but didnt see it...but i guess as long as i am moving....that is what counts
  7. labwalker and ana was dead on with what they wrote eat what you like...but to gain, one must eat more calories than they burn off 3500 calories is a pound...better choices...fresh over processed, portions 3 oz vs 12 oz...you did it once, so make up your mind to do it again, then do it
  8. hard to tell, but for me, it was the one with the longest incision. just know it get better as the days past..insides just need to do alot of healing...congrats on your surgery.
  9. well i have it for just over a year now so far (and with my want power) and the band, it has helped me lose 123 pounds..it has made my stomach smaller and i get full quicker and has helped me with not needing a fill yet. my dr advised me that no matter what WLS i get, i still have to do my part by eating netter quality foods and exercise...best of luck (anything else in particular, just pm me)
  10. great before and after
  11. if there is more dates, tell him then the band doesnt define you...you define the band go out and enjoy yourself
  12. wonderful and this inspired me to keep going , thanks for sharing
  13. amen....the band is now my life partner it helps me eat less but also gave me my life back and i am gonna live it...
  14. my dr said no to straws but as with life, it varies to a person and their doctor dont think cold water is an issue but the best person to answer these 2 questions is your doctor.
  15. i had a glass also my bff amanda said its ok and to relax and enjoy it and i did...heck i may even have another tonight
  16. they gained back their weight by eating more calories than they burned off.....why anyone with a weight problem has done that exact thing...doesnt mean everyone does however..you CAN eat better food, exercise, and let the band HELP control your food portions and just about everyone can lose weight...its a matter of wanting to lose weight bad enough to do actually use it as its intended and leave the excuses at the curb with the trash junk foods.
  17. nice blog post laura you are a great success and it clearly shows why
  18. congrats on a great job you look amazing..well done and i thank my band for letting me be able to walk again it literally gave me my life back...for that reason, is why i am so passionate and strict..it DOES take want power
  19. to gain weight, one more take in more calories than they burn off..so as maddy stated, get back to what your dr advised you: your allotted amount of food, drink alot, fresh vs proessed, drink alot and def focus on protein..it keeps you full longer and fuels your body..best of luck on making that new baby (and have fun making it also)
  20. best of luck...went and found this for you
