I broke my sobriety last night

Yes I had me two glasses of wine last night. Ugh! I sorta feel bad about it. This week has been a little bit stressful for me at work and my monthly friend is still here. Today will be day 12 but at least my chocolate and greasy food craving are gone.

So why did I decided to drink? My original plan was to wait until my 30th birthday but I started 50 days too early. I noticed I was getting irritable at both of my jobs and it is okay at job one but at job two my being irritable is unacceptable! I work at day care and I can’t be like that because kids sense these things. My kids need to be surrounded in a happy go lucky environment. So I ended it by unwinding the best way I know how… drinking.

My tolerance of drinking has changed a lot! Before I was banded I can finish 2 bottles last night I had two glasses and I was done. I woke up this morning had my protein drink and workout for 40 minutes. Also according to my Wii fit I lost 1.6 pounds! Woo hoo! This weekend I will be taking care of me. I have a busy day plan for myself. Thanks for reading

Don't be too hard on yourself. The key here is, that you're right back on track today. This is how it's going to be through the rest of your life; allowing yourself a little something off plan on occasion, but then hopping right back on track.

I was banded on 3/25/13, and decided that the Memorial Day BBQ I went to, would be the day I allowed myself some wine. I hadn't had anything to drink three months prior, and thought one glass would be all I could tolerate. Not! I think that I drank damn near an entire bottle! I tolerated it fine, but didn't feel very well for a couple of days. Not sick; just off a shade or two. I'd like to say "lesson learned", but I'm sure I'll have a day like that again. Felt NO pain & had a great time!!

I haven't had a drink....wait,I take that back. I've had two shots of Bailey's Irish Cream, and it was good. I have a few bottles of wine that I need to dust off, but I have always been a light weight when it comes to drinking. Two glasses of wine and I start telling everyone how wonderful I think they are. I'll wait till I have company to open the wine.

First of aII I I love this thread because 1. You Ladies are absolutely and delightfully honest and 2. I am on the tail end of my pre-op diet and my daughter said Mom are you wanting some chocolate and I said NOOOOO I am wanting some Red Wine right now LOL forget the food forget the sweets forget everything that requires actual chewing I want wine! I don't want to even imagine that my tolerance for my Mommy medicine will diminish! With that being said You ladies rock and I think that all will balance it self out! Seize the day enjoy your wine!!!
