That's too bad that he wants you to tell. It is really your place to say anything. I know I told my bosses at work, but not the woman i work closest with. My bosses were very nice to keep it to themselves, not always the case. My boss had it done too but he had told everyone. I just didnt want to tell my closest co workers because we eat lunch together. I also don't want peole "watching" to see how I am doing. It's a personal journey and a personal choice. Maybe he see's it as a positive thing and wants to share the news. I agree with you though and I don't think anyone could understand unless you've done it. Has been great I would do it all over again in a minute, no regrets!

I would love to have a buddy in this venture. I started at 262 last May and am now 214 and stuck. So a little exchange of support might help us both! I have only had one fill. The dr. had a hard time finding the port and he cancelled my appointment for emergencies he had. Frustrated with that, but I am going in one Weds for my 2nd fill. I have 2cc right now and not feeling much restriction. Not in the green zone...can't wait for that! Have a good day! Cathy

% days since i posted this and struggling with my mind to keep in the game! I can not give up on myself! Frustrated being in bandster hell! I am going to call the office tomorrow. I was banded in Jan.2012 and thus far have only had one fill. I want to get to the green zone!

I too am excited about smaller underwear that fits! Crazy what excites us! I have to get a new bracelet for my pandora charms it's way too big now!

I know I can and I will get there! All I have to do is remind myself that I don't want any of the health issues. I am pretty independent and want to stay that way. Good luck and let me know when you get there! It will be soon!

I am actually trying to reach the 2 0 9 mark just to see that "0" in the middle will be good, but I am the same up and down! Onederland is going to be great and you are almost there!!! You are an inspiration! Thanks for sharing! We just need to keep our heads up and our feet in motion and we can do it!!! Best wishes!

That is sooooo awesome! You are an inspiration! Right now my goal is to see my weight in the 100's! I have 19 pounds to go. I did find a pair of pants I really liked they were a size 16. I now wear an 18 so I tried them on just for the heck of it and I got them on without a problem the just won't quite button, but I bought them anyways! I will be in them soon! Wow feels good i started at a size 24-26. Congratulations!

This might be water weight. Might just be the trauma to your body. Good luck and don't worry.

Thanks! It was scary and a wake up call to be mindful when i am eating. I think it has happened a couple time in the past week and yesterday it hit me like a ton of bricks. I am grateful that it happened actually it was a reality check.

Don't weigh yourself at TOM. It just is plain depressing if you do! Just water weight anyhow! Congrats on onederland!!!

Good luck and keep me posted! Riding a bike is a goal of mine! Was always afraid of having the tires not being strong enough! Maybe now I can do it too! Good luck!

It took me until about a week before surgery to relax. Just keep telling yourself it will be fine and you will be healthier.

omg! Really? Things that make ya go huh?? Did they refer you to someone else?

Way to go! You look awesome!!!

I think it's only natural to be afraid of failure. Most likely many if not all have tried to diet and "failed" at it. Obviously! lol I think it makes sense that this experience would make a person feel the same way. Once you start this journey and the weight starts dropping you will be surprised at how much confidence you will have that you CAN do this! We are all in this together!

Chin up it's all good! This is a journey not an answer to all, it is a great tool you just have to let it help you. Listen to your body, it takes effort, but so worth it!

Definitely going to lose the inches the way you are going! The scale itself doesn't always predict how healthy we are getting. Good job!

It is definitely a challenge! I find myself wanting to reward with eating, but am starting to realize that is when I need to do something else. I am just having a hard time finding something that was as instantly gratifying as eating was. I am doing good, but the whole mind game and old habits take an effort to get by!
p.s.- it's not just you I just know that the chicken does have feelings! lol

Had my second fill today and it went much better than the first. Was still difficult to find the port. Dr. says that it will be easier to find the port once i lose more weight. He told me that my port had regresses quite a bit then he said only 2% of people have that happen...I am that 2%. ugh. I did ask him if i was going to need to have any surgery in order to bring it closer to the surface, he said no, so thats a good thing! Well clear liquids for 24 hours and then full liquids for 24 hours. Does anyone know why they have you do full liquids after a fill??? Thanks!
