Fear Of Lunch
Nothing to stress over....try deli meat (sliced thin)....cheese and maybe flatbread. Peanut butter, crackers, cheese sticks, peanuts, protein drinks, salads.....keep what you can in the fridge at work (perhaps invest in one for your space). This way you will/should always be prepared. You will get it....Blessings2u--bj

Time Of The Month *ladies, Please Read*
If you had PMS, bloating & weight gain before surgery, you will still have it after surgery. Relax. It's all a part of the process. In a few months you will have something to compare this against. Blessings2u--BJ

Overdid It Today?
My tastebuds were so out of wack for the first month or so, I couldn't stomach protein or sugar free stuff. You are doing great. Rooting for you. Blessings2u--BJ

How Many Stalls?
I like this community because the information shared is so valuable. Information about stalls should help us prepare mentally for what's to come. If I hadn't have read about them, I would think that I got the surgery done for nothing or that I was totally messing up something---I stalled for 3 weeks and it was not fun at all. It's not like it happens to a select few---stalls happen to everyone that gets sleeved. Blessings2u--BJ

When Did Your Brain Catch Up With Your Body?
With my highest recorded weight being 354 and my current weight @ 287---with my largest size clothing being 30W and my current size 18----I still don't see what others are seeing. I look in the mirror some days and see the really fat girl. I get dressed in the morning and think to myself, "I feel fat today"....I guess this is something we will all have to come to terms with. But if the #'s and clothes sizes are going down, that says it better than anybody telling us. I'm only 11 weeks out and thinking like this---what's going to happen in 1 year. Blessings2u--BJ

Vitamins And Weight Loss?
I had my surgery on 11/9/11. My loss is a few pounds more than yours, and I also hit a stall of about 4 weeks. I started drinking protein at least 2-3 times per day and drinking more water and the weight started moving again. I had the same issue with vitamins. My surgeon suggested gummies (multi and fiber)---every since I started I feel great. I also add tastless powder Benefiber to my protein shake in the morning. Don't stress too much about what we see as slow----Next year this time we will look back and say "WoW, I can't believe this is my new body"....vitamins are very very important as we are not getting all of our nutrients. You really want your bloodwork to remain as close to normal as possible. With me, I have to have complete bloodwork every 3 months for a year. I don't want any B12, anemia, iron deficiency issues--I just don't want any issues. Do what you can to to find a gummy adult multi vitamin. Blessings2u--bj

Its Your Period Dummy!
My cycle has been 28 days faithful for 11 years now. Since surgery which was on 11/9/11----I've been at least 3 days late each month. The first month was full of clots--but with each passing month, it seems to be getting better. Blessings2u--BJ

Drinking While Eating
My surgeon instructed the 30/30 rule for life. He said it was to keep my sleeve from stretching. I'm 10 weeks out and thus far, it's working. I'm sure that later I may be a bit more free about this. But for now, it's working. Blessings2u--BJ

Protein In Clear Liquid Phase
dietdirect.com............liquid protein: Brand: ProtiDiet Item #: PD312. To me it taste like a fruit drink. I love grape flavor. Freeze it until it's almost a slushie. It got me through. Unjury protein (chocolate and vanilla) powders are excellent. I mix with fat-free / sugar free coffeemate creamers. Blessings2u--BJ

How Much Did You Lose In Month 1
Don't believe what others have to say....trust in what you believe.....speak what you want and you shall have what you say. It's out of your mouth and your heart. Try saying you want to "get rid of"....anything we lose we want to find---we don't want to find a single pound. Blessings2u--BJ

Protein - What Is It Doing Other Than Constipating Me?
Protein helps to heal the body. Try adding fiber to your diet---I take gummy chews and most of the time I add tasteless powder benefiber to my protein drinks. I've found the more protein I take in, the greater the weightloss and the greater my energy level. Blessings2u--BJ

How Much Did You Lose In Month 1
I had surgery Nov 9, 2011----I'm down 35 lbs. I think I'm doing great. I kind of like the thought that slow and steady wins the race. Blessings2u--BJ

From Full To Empty!
I actually had my surgery Nov 9, 2011............my stomach loves liquids. I just have to put forth the effort to pick pick up the cup/bottle. Yep, as long as it's coming out.....think of it as getting rid of weight. Every time I pee, it makes me smile---seriously, especially when I drink a lot of water and I constantly go. Blessings2u--BJ

From Full To Empty!
It's call healing (LOL)....your swelling is going down. I find that I can drink water without problems as long as I'm not gulping. I can generally drink 32 oz in about 30 minutes---that's great for me. I don't really like the taste of water so in the past I would just gulp. I've noticed weight dropping since I'm able to get in more water and at least 2 protein shakes per day. Blessings2u--BJ

Approved!
Congrats!!! will keep you in my prayers. Blessings2u--bj

3 Weeks Post Op & The Roller Coaster!
Bread??? wow. Bread wasn't on my nut list nor my Dr.'s. I just thought that it was one of those forbidden things after surgery. I must admit that I've had texas toast without any problems......but so far as having a sandwich---no way. I just feel like it'll get stuck. Blessing2u--bj
