  1. Slow it down, and maybe rest the system with fluids only for 24 hours. I know you like to push, but slow and steady is your best friend right now.
  2. My doctor said walking only for the first 3 months. It may be a bit early for running. I would ask the doc, because if you are a long time runner, it may be that you could start earlier. You have had major surgery, so give your body time to heal!
  3. For lifting that much weight, I would think you should wait 6-8 weeks. Definitely call you surgeon and ask.
  4. Mucus should be a slider and pass right through the band. You may have swelling from allergies, but it does not seem that mucus would fill the band.
  5. By the way, once you are back on board... fasten your seatbelt. It is a lifelong ride!
  6. Very lean and good for you. If you have it use it! I would not recommend the jerky though. Tough to chew well enough.
  7. Congrats... buffets are evil! Good job!
  8. Agree with Missy... you know it was wrong, and one slip can lead to another, and pretty soon you will be one of ones who says the band does not work. The band works if you do. It is that simple.
  9. I think they have about covered it. Good luck!
  10. I am not aware of anything that reliably works. You can start toning exercises as soon as you are able, but other than that is it mostly genetics.
  11. Yes, they all pass easy for me too. It is very easy to find yourself taking bigger bites over time. I fight it all the time.
  12. Congrats... hope you reach goal soon!
  13. Mine said six weeks. But walk as much as it was possible.
  14. Thanks Jean for the clarification.
  15. Since you have not responded I am guessing that you may have jumped the gun on the post-op.
  16. It sounds like a reasonable question to me and I recognize your post from earlier on this site? Still looking for an answer you like? Try OH. They love to talk down the band.
  17. Congrats and best wishes to all the newbies here. Ask away. We love questions!
  18. Too funny! I lost evenly across my body.... BUT... I had had previous lipo on my butt. My hubby says it is gone now and he cannot recognize me from behind! Small pears are healthier than big pears! Think about which you really want to be!
  19. “Just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do.” ~Ella Fitzgerald~
  20. Lost more weight on my own than I ever have weighed in my life. I gained every bit of it back. Lap Band was a lifestyle change commitment for me. I wanted to change!
  21. I have seen others here who have been successful. I am sure someone will post.
  22. Only if you have been approved for solid foods. Otherwise no. Sprinkle salt on your tongue or drink chicken both!
