  1. Best wishes... but don't rely totally on the band. You have to do your part to eat the right portion sizes, etc.
  2. Take care of one issue at a time. You will get through this.
  3. You guys are weighing way to often! Give yourselves a break!
  4. It can be done... don't over think it. Make sure you find out what shakes your doctor recommends. Some say water only for mixing, others allow non-fat milk, or unsweetened almond milk, my favorite. And check out the web site for Nashua Nutrition... they offer single serving sample packs so you can test taste before buying the powder in bulk. The powder is much cheaper long term than the ready made shakes. Good Luck!
  5. Nervous or Excited or both = NORMAL!
  6. Sounds good... I will have to try it! Thanks for the idea!
  7. I agree... no BM is something you need to address with your doctor, but it is not at all unusual for the weight loss to slow as you you lose more and more. Keep up with your program. Are you getting exercise? Best wishes... you can make it happen it you WANT it!
  8. Amazing story, and so brave! Join us! You will like it and we will help you. I think seeing a therapist is a great idea. We all became obese for different reasons. I hope you find yours and conquer it! Best wishes!

  11. congratulations... here's to more to come! NSV are the greatest!
  12. Profile... would help but sounds like an allergic reaction. If you are recent from surgery it could be one the meds they gave you. Definitely call your doctor.
  13. I use Purevia which is a brand of Stevia. It comes in individual packets and in larger bulk bags so you can measure it like sugar. I do not cook with it, but I have cooked with some of the blended sweetners with stevia or spenda and sugar mixed without problem. I saw a study recently that stated the the aspartame and nutrsweet sweetners cause the same sugar rise in insulin as real sugar. Stevia does not. My doc and nutritionist approve.
  14. Are we all really grown ups talking about stalking on a weight loss forum. Give me a break. You can't be serious.
  15. Yep... no snoring here... now if hubby would just stop!
  16. Keep up the good work! 40 pounds gone! Yay!
  17. I will join the chorus and recommend a counselor who works with both depression and food addiction. It is not too late to start over and turn this story back to positive. Best wishes to you!
  18. I am also in Durham... happy to chat with you!
  19. I use chobani yogurt as a snack. Generally if the yogurt is flavored I may add in 1/2 scoop of unflavored protein. Also, really good is plain yogurt with a tbsp of peanut butter for a snack, or PB cookie flavored protein powder.
  20. I noticed that gap a few months ago, and now when I am sitting, I keep looking at it. The head takes a while as you know, but you look fabulous lady! I am 5'9" as well so I know the big feeling all to well. Congratulations and happy belated birthday!
  21. I am in Durham, at goal and maintaining. I hope!
  22. Walking is good... It also may help to swing your arms when you walk, The gas in not in your tummy so other than walking, nothing much else helps. Best Wishes
  23. Keep to the plan, glad you are doing well. Continue to sip, sip sip. It helps with the physical hunger... you will have to find something else to do with yourself to help the head hunger. Keep busy, and you won't think so much about eating. Good luck!
