  1. My surgeon advised against carbonated sodas.
  2. Burping is part of the program. Get used to it.
  3. Really don't need the picture to know that you are perfectly normal for this stage. Walking helps the gas. Try swinging your arms while you walk. Liquids in equals liquids out unfortunately. My doc allowed imodium if it gets too bad. In a few days this will all be behind you! Hang in there!

Great post Cheryl. We only have shelter animals at our house. Have for years. Good luck with the lawmakers!
  5. One episode is not likely to stretch your band. Call Doc, he may want you to take nausea meds.
  6. It is unproven in human testing. Why take the chance? Just eat following band rules.
  7. Carcinia gambogia???? Call you lap band doctor to discuss with him. Dr. Oz is not a lap band surgeon to my knowledge. You may do more harm than good, blindly treating yourself. What did they sat about the Fluoro? Surely there was a doctor there to order that test? Please take care of yourself and see a qualified medical team. Best Wishes.
  8. Just the port... I have never felt the band. The port is not visible to others looking at you.
  9. Ham is edible for me if I chew it to mush, but then I chew everything to mush! LOL
  10. It works for me if I eat enough protein.
  11. The surgery can cause some strange hormones to float about. I agree with the poster above, get nausea meds and call the OBGYN. Best wishes.
  12. Everyone varies. I never had any trouble with liquids as long as I did not try to gulp down too much at once. Congrats on your surgery and progress so far. Best wishes for your recovery.
  13. Stick to the program. You will be able to add calories as you add in foods. Healing time causes strange results! Good luck!
  14. I was on full liquids for 3 weeks, then soft foods. Every doctor varies, yet all seem to get results if you follow their plan. I think of it as multiple paths to the same place. Best wishes, and do what your doctor says.
  15. What a wonderful feeling! Keep up the good work. I have never been sorry I made this choice!
  16. All will go well. Best wishes to all of you. You can do it!
  17. It is so easy to fall back into old behaviours, but hey... at least you recognize it, so now you can do something about it! Consider this your friendly kick in the butt. Get back on the band wagon! Best wishes.

    Congrats on the fill!
  19. Unjury protein powder is the best for no chalky taste!
  20. You either trust the surgeon you are with or you don't. If you don't find a new one, if you do, I recommend following his plan. That's what you paid him for!
  21. Pre-op diets vary.... I personally did not have one. I can attest to the fact that Atkins works. I still eat na modified Atkins diet today. Got me to goal and I am maintaining
  22. Great article AJ... nice way to pay it forward.
  23. Vent on... just skip the candy! I know it is hard! Happy Valentine's Day!
  24. Sometimes the band tightness can vary with stress and hydration.
  25. You mean cause it fits? LOL!!
