Iwas given approval by insurance that i could have upto 6 months after band removal to have sleeve surgery, if it could not be done after band removal. Only downside is my deductible has been met and starts over july 1st.

No preop diet, just npo after midnight prior to surgery. Woke up after surgery, no sleeve ,had erosions to stomach from Band, Doc wanted perfect healthy tummy, since I had abdominal abscesses. Dont remember this much pain after lap band. But will tough it out. Have to wait awhile to heal before i can get sleeve. Have post op appointment June 6, willsee what the story is then. I had band placed in 2012, lost 40 lbs , port flipped and had repair, after that have not had successful fills. Last summer, my surgeon moved and new surgeon stuck me 10 or 12 times trying to do a fill, ended up with abdominal abscess which took months and sev antibiotics to go away or so i thought, abscess/infection has resurfaced again. So now band has to come out and hoping there are no erosions and can convert to sleeve in one surgery, anyone else out there had similiar issue? My sis isxa nurse, thinks i should file a suit against doc that did multiple sticks trying to locate port, any advice? Have revision surgery sched next week.

I tried zumba great excercise..burning lots of calories sweating and lots of fun..except I have really bad knees. Tried it for 3 weeks ....killer on your knees/joints. Biking and swimming are about all I can do.

I am 5m post op and 10 days out from port revision..advise on restarting exercising......post op instructions were no lifting more than 10 lbs for six weeks....musd my yoga class and bike riding

Banded jan 16 2013 first fill in april..after six sticks dr got US out was able to access port..2nd fill appt last wed np could not find port dr couldnt find port. Went back friday fluoroscopy done in OR port had moved surgery required to fix it...cant lift anything over 10lbs for six weeks.....port had moved due to weight lost in midriff...52 lbs in 11 weeks. Hope i dont have to go thru this again.i go back in 2 weeks hope fill goes better!

Port had flipped..revision done this morning...sore tummy...cant lift anything over 10 lbs for six weeks...excercise put on hold for at least two weeks..oh well could have been worse.

Went to 5 month post op visit. TWL54 lbs. Have had one fill 5 cc in my allergan band...Dr had a hard time accessing port 2 months ago..5 sticks. Now for my second fill NP tried three times and then called surgeon..he attempted three times with no success. Have to go back Friday to try to have fill done in the OR with fluoroscopy if not successful they will go ahead with revision...hopefully just the port. Dr thinks to weight loss in abdominal area has caused port to shift. Tummy is very sore tonight where they physically tried to.manipulate port. No matter what happens Friday I am still happy to have started this journey!

I have found a beginners yoga class at the y...people of all ages and sizes..I can tell a big difference since I began 2 months ago..I have really bad knees and have to modify some moves...try it..good luck...5 months post op!

5 months postop...lost 9 pounds since fill 8 weeks ago..hungry eating things I shouldn't be...should I go ahead ahead and get another fill?

Take your measurements ....Jan 16 Bandster..I have been losing very slowly for the last few weeks...but my measurements tell me that my body is reshaping...5" off hips and 4" off waist was a tight size 18 w...now i can get into a 12.. a little tight but could zip ...wearing 14 comfortably. 42 TWL..yeah me!

I was banded Jan 16th and still no fill...somedays I want to eat all the time . Total weight loss 42 lbs...last month have only lost 5 lbs..Dr says no fill until I stop losing. Will see him next week....hope to talk him into a fill. I guess we just have to find some willpower....we will succeed...50 lbs to goal for me. Good luck to all.

I had a splurge day also....back to the plan tomorrow....definitely going to the gym. I am 10 weeks post op -42 no fill yet ...I think I need one. My meals are not holding me!!
