Food Suggestion???
Talk to a nutritionist. A life of nothing but soft or ground foods sounds tortuous. It sounds like too big a bite or too much fill.
-
First fill today
Sip, sip, sip and definitely stick to liquids for 24 hours before trying soft foods again.
-
I think I have the stuck feeling.
Pills will dissolve. If you can get liquids down keep sipping. If you are truly stuck, you should also be sliming.

What to take for general aches and pains?
My doctor also said no NSAIDS. I have seen some who do them, but many also take a beta blocker to protect the stomach. Tylenol works for me.

THERMOJET BODY WRAPS/ WL
Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. For permanent weight loss and health follow your surgeon and nutritionist's recommendations. It is a life style change, a journey, not a destination! IMHO

My Prayers go out to everyone in Boston

wait a minute
If you have trouble getting your Protein drinks in, try this schedule. Drink 2-3 oz protein at the top of each hour. At each 15 minutes interval there after, drink 2-3 oz of hydrated liquids. in a normal 15 hour waking period each day, that will net you 30-45 oz of protein averaging 17-23 gr per 10 ounces. and well over your needed hydration Fluid. Just after surgery this was my routine for 3 weeks and I was never hungry or dehydrated. Worked for me. Spacing the fluids out helped immensely. Good luck!

Road Block
It is perfectly normal to be nervous, but try not to get too worked up until you know something for sure. It only adds to stress and stress eating is what got a lot of us to where we need lap band surgery. Sending hugs and prayers your way. Feel free to vent here. It is free and could save your marriage! LOL!

Lap band + 17 day diet?
The Diet as you describe it sounds a lot like Atkins or South Beach, either one of which is lap band friendly. Just pay extra attention to portion sizes as most diets do lot limit these as much as may be needed for the band. Eat small bites, chew thoroughly and avoid white carbs. You should lose just as much weight just following lap band post surgery diet rules. If you need recipes, many can be be found on this site.

I gained 3lbs since yesterday
I agree, some FAQ would be helpful, but we all know no one would read them. And it is so much fun to read the answers over and over again!

aggressive vs non aggressive fills
Slow and steady works for me. There is nothing worse than too full!
-
Just scheduled
Keep the faith. Use this time to learn all you can about the band. Try out different protein powders and bars. The more you know about the procedure and diet, the easier your time will be.
