Two Month Mark.. How Are You Doing?
- 9 Days Out And Ate Potato Chips By Accident
maybe no more chips or bad foods in the house would be a good thing too.- Working On Working Out
you are going to have to find something you enjoy doing or your not going to stick with it. i actually enjoy the elliptical, i have some awesome music i only listen to while working out, or i go to the gym while Law and Order SVU is on, and i can pedal for an hour without even realizing. There is Zumba, swimming, do you have any girlfriends that would walk and talk with you? buy a Wii or Xbox, they have all kinds of workout games that are fun, you can even buy them used at your local gaming store. I work out because to me the shape i want is worth the exercise. i want to be toned and ripped as much as i can on my year anniversary when they take my picture again. Good luck finding something that works for you- The Scale Numbers And Stalls Mean Nothing :)
yeah that is awesome! i would be happy to lose more inches than pounds if it meant smaller clothes :-) i can tell by the way i am losing i am going to be "Mariyln" shaped and thats ok with me.- 4 Months Out To The Day! Feeling Amazing And Only 26Lbs To Goal! Pics Included
you look awesome! Dunno where that 26 pounds is going to come from :-D- What Were You Eating And How Much? I Need Help
Myabe you need a few carbs? not sure what your diet is allowed at that stage since every doc is different, but when i have too low carbs i feel empty and lightheaded. on the puree stage i would have some potatoe soup just a few oz every few days. made me feel better.- 4 Months Today And I've Lost 62 Pounds
My grey is bad though but I'm so afraid to color it, i don't wanna tick it off.- 4 Months Today And I've Lost 62 Pounds
I cut my hair into a cute bob as well right after my surgery I'm losing a handful of hair a day. Its been falling out for a month so I hope it calms down soon, I am doing a round of zinc, thAts what my nut told me to try.- Calling All 3 Month-Ers! How Are Things Going?
I also do 5-7 hours of cardio, weight training a week.- Calling All 3 Month-Ers! How Are Things Going?
I am 3 months 2 weeks. I eat 800 calories a day. 70 grams protein, 60 gram carbs, 80-100 oz of water. I have lost 63 pounds. I can eat almost anything. My sleeve doesn't like milk, ice cream, chocolate. I enjoy food with a lot of flavor now. Spices are my best friend.- Thoughts? Opinions?
Hum, what kind of ground beef do you use? Try to use the leanest ground beef or try ground turkey. Also use low fat ham or even turkey. That will cut down on some of the fat.- Yay I Found One!
I agree a good support group is important. My surgeons office sponsers ours, and the awesome part is, the NUT, insurance cordinator; (she had bypass), the RN, nurses asst, and even the surgeon himself all take turns sponsoring the meetings, so you get a chance to talk to them all if you come every month. thats the only thing i dont like its only once a month. Last month my NUT and I talked about plastics for a half hour. SHe is getting some and promised to tell me about the whole experience and how much it cost. Im excited! I am going to get me some next summer. :-D- Serious Debate On Post-Op Dieting
well im half way to 6 months so im going to have to try to squeeze out some extra farts- Hmmmmmm
Ok, you need to reword this. It's been a month and I have LOST 20 pounds!! That's 5 pounds a week!! That's awesome! Don't bet yourself up, and I promise the weight will come off!- Let Share Some Before And After Information For Sleeve Pt Only
Weight before sleeve: 292 Sleeved Dec 28 2011 Weight now 230 62 pounds lost, Weight loss still going strong- What's Your Favorite Work Out?
I do many classes at my gym. H.I.T (high intensity training) boot camp, circuit training and I enjoy the good old fashioned elliptical. I get bored with just running so I need things to keep me concentrating. I also do weight lifting. Want to keep toned.- Guys Suck! Venting!
It can be frustrating! My hubby started his lifestyle change the day I started my pre-op diet. On my one month visit he borrowed the doctors scale. I had lost 33 with the sleeve, he had lost 28 ON HIS OWN. Now 3 month out he is at goal at the 40 pounds he wanted to lose, and I'm still chugging along lol.- Pure Protein Supreme Whey Shot
Where do you get this one?- Serious Debate On Post-Op Dieting
I totally agree as well! I do protein first then veg then if there is room I'll have a starch or a sweet on occasion. I am not on a diet, if I want a snack I'll have a snack. I can't fit much in there I refuse to feel guilty considering what I used to eat compared to what I eat now. Everyone does it different, who are we to say what works for someone else. As long as we make it to the finish line healthy and fit that's all that matters.- Hi Protein Pre-Op Diet = Bad Breath?
Nope its a common side effect. I'll take bad breath for burning some extra fat.- Lifting Question.
I was cleared for lifting weights at 1 month. Every doc is different. I would say after a month try it. You probably won't be cleared any earlier than that.- Surgery Tomorrow And Very Afraid
First calm down!! There is no way you will die of starvation. When you get to your goal weight or a little below, you know how to gain. Add some carbs more calories. You will be able to eat more food after a few weeks. And since you have a lower weight you wil not be dropping weight as rapidly. Breath in and enjoy the ride.- Damn Easter Candy
Last year I polished off probably 3 packs of Reese eggs in a weekend, plus jelly beans, cadbury minis, cadbury creme eggs. I refuse to feel guilty over a few pieces of candy. For me this surgery was a way to lose weight and still enjoy life. I also ran 3 miles and did a stair workout. (my hometown was pretty much knocked out of a mountain so there are stairs everywhere)- Turbo Fire, P90X, 10 Minute Trainer Dilema
All those cardio exercises are tough. You need to go on Beachbody.com and do the fit test. You have to be able to do a lot of basic workouts. Push ups, pull ups, squats, wall sits, vertical jump of 3 inches. It's hard work, good luck.- Damn Easter Candy
I'm still loving the candy but much better Bout rationing. After this weekend no more candy. Not to much longer till vacation. - 9 Days Out And Ate Potato Chips By Accident
