  1. The therapists in your doctors system have a good working relationship with eachother. They WANT you to get approved. They are really looking to see that you are ready for this change and that nothing is standing in your way. Play up that you have a great support system and are ready for a change. We have been overweight a looong time who wouldn't be depressed.
  2. If it goes away on a full belly, maybe its your new stomachs way of telling you its hungry. Of course if its something you are worried about you should see your doctor.
  3. So cool to get full off so little. This gives me hope
  4. shame on you... . JK, but how can you hold a burger this early out?
  5. Either she has underlying psych problems or she just feels like there isn't any hope of losing it, so she just went for fatter.
  6. No fear! Embrace this change you made, afterall you can't undo it now so just look forward to the new you and keep checking the boards for support and motivation. Congrats on your new life.
  7. The blu electronic cig is great. It hits your throat just like a real smoke and it's just water vapor. I freak people out smoking in public places.
  8. Great for you, glad you are up and typing. Hope you get home soon
  9. That is awesome man! Have you been lifting weights, cause your pecs have no loose skin and look really defined?
  10. Different docs have different regulations prior to surgery. Some docs like the pre diet because it shrinks the liver which kinda lies on top of the part of the stomach they are working on. It is not an absolute requirement but if you would feel more comfy with a nice small liver I guess you could do your own.
  11. You seem so excited in your posts that Im super happy for you!
  12. I work in Respiratory and we do Bronchs while the patient is awake. It's called concious sedation. You will be given atomized lidocaine and a sedative and you will be very loopy and not feel a thing. Most of our patients wake up with numb throat and mouth talking about their childhood teddy bears. You will be fine.
  13. Cool. I have been following your blog and posts, we are so similar in thinking, Im even close to going to CRNA school (Nurse Anesthetist) so we'll both be gassin' em. I think you are gonna do great.
  14. Any therapist worth his salt would see that you were distressed. Your emotions shouldn't hinder his decision, they are just seeing if you will have the fortitude to succeed post sleeve. Theres something about being in a psych office that makes a LOT of people cry and remember you can always go to a different therapist, your Doc wants you to have this surgery, he gets paid good and you get healthy. He's not gonna cancel you because of that, this is for insurance purposes.
  15. See, us guys can be caring and supportive too.
  16. I hink part of the reason we are successful pre-sleeve losing the weight is that we are motivated to get the sleeve and continue. We know that we finally have the tools and know how to lose the weight for good and this changes our mind state which helps lose that weight
  17. One more day! You got this brother, blast the killswitch and sail away into your happy place. Im rooting for you.
  18. Nice. You are rocking it, keep chugging away
