  1. LOL Nice! The boomerang belt. That had to feel great to poke new holes, congrats man your rockin it.
  2. Thanks so much guys! Tiffykins thanks for the pic. I have always been a volume eater so im curious about the prospect of being full on so little. These examples are really helping me to put things in perspective.
  3. Can someone give me some real world examples of how much food your new sleeved stomach can hold. I hear the ounces a lot but I am a visual person. Like can you eat a whole dunkin donuts donut? A whole Mcdonalds size cheeseburger? Not that you would eat these foods just examples that we all know.
  4. I have been trying to eat like I already have the sleeve as Im getting closer. I figure if I can get used to it now I will be all the more successful.
  5. I think its just the American way now. People start to feel freaked out if you have small portions or no drink in front of you. They assume either you want something or somethings wrong with you, no one assumes your satisfied.

I see people mention refried beans a lot. Are the good for you? Don't they have a lot of carbs?
  7. i LOVE crab legs! Are they considered a slider food since the meat is so fine?
  8. As a guy, he was def flirting. He's probably building up the guts to ask you out. Congrats enjoy the perks of your work
  9. I didn't even think of that as a benefit. I seem to be sweating when everyone else isn't. Just thought I was an athlete LOL.
  10. I love that your posts seem to inspire everyone around here. Keep up the good work and goodluck on the surgery

  12. Gotta love those no shower saturdays!
  13. This thread is great! Can't wait to get in on it
  14. Great Job! Enjoy the walk, I bet you feel like a million bucks afterwards.
  15. My bottom line is always My Body, My Choice. Doctors suggest things all of the time and as a healthcare worker I can say there are a lot of alterior motives that come into play. Do your research and select the procedure that is right for you. This is a decision that you will live with for the rest of your life.
  16. Congrats! I hear you, Im at the homestretch too. Just one more NUT visit next week.
  17. It is worrisome being this close and having your file in the hands of someone who doesn't know what you've been through making the decision. I forgot, i had to go the psych eval too.
  18. I've got Aetna (ppo) as well. Im hoping that a letter of neccesity isn't required. I did the 3 month NUT appointments, the tests and I have sleep apnea. All they asked for so far was proof that I have been overweight for at least 3 years. I hope thats enough.
  19. Im not a woman but wouldn't walking around with 10lbs of extra weight up there be kind of hard and cumbersome?
  20. Keep us posted. Im curious how your body will respond.
  21. Im not sure how long you've known her, but if you feel comfortable I think honesty is the route here. Let her know you are going to have WLS and lose a lot of weight, tell her the portions you will be able to have, tell her what activities you are gonna engage in and let her decide if she wants to come along for the ride. Good Luck
  22. Great question! I was looking for this exact answer on this thread. I too practice Krav Maga and the workout can get pretty intense those gut shots can floor you.
