I was told I did not qualify and then Kaiser sent the paperwork saying I did. I went to the orientation, had an EKG, Bloodwork ups. Set up my Options classes. I went to the Kaiser Bariatric Dr in Lancaster and after reviewing my chart he says I don't qualify because I am 10 pounds under the 40 bmi mark (I have 2 co-morbidity's). The Dr. said someone at the Options program screwed up by sending me the paperwork.

I don't know if you read my post last week. After my go around with Kaiser.I not sure what do. For days I have been myself to just forget the whole thing just try again on own. Now I am starting to get my fight back on.. I am not sure which way to go, fight the under 40 BMI with my HP,HC fatty liver, or gain some weight plus put weights in clothes. What do you think is the best route? This what I found.. I just don`t get Kaiser. I have a appointment for the 27th with the Kaiser Bariatric M.D. I go today for a EKG. And then start the classes Oct 25th.

Funny how curtain situations hit us like a brick wall. For me I was in a meeting, and 2 of the younger staff kept looking at me. I got up and got a bagel and sat down they both were laughing and still kept looking over at me. Come to find out they where taking bets to see if the fat lady(me) was going to eat a bagel.

LOL Make a pair of boots or a purse.. I had a fantasy when I had my hysterectomy that I would throw my uterus up in the air and shoot it.

I went the orientation last week and there was lady named Liz that used to work for Dr Yadager, she now works for Kaiser. She said he loves Kaiser patients since they are so educated. Maybe you will get to go the new hospital in Palmdale. Let me know how it goes with him.

I have a co-worker who's sister is going thru the same Kaiser -merry -go -round as me, she told me yesterday I probably will need to have the sleep test, I thought how stupid. Youre right if they have proven the weight loss will make the sleep apnea ago away.. than hurry up and do the surgery and quit dilly dicking around with the all tests. They should do the Psychologist first, before jumping thru all the hoops. That will drive anyone crazy for sure..

Hi Stacy, I live close to you, in Palmdale. I am just starting my process. I have Kaiser and start the 12 week classes in Oct.

Oh no.. sorry it's been so ruff for you. Just rest, walk a little,drink a little and take all the pain meds they are offering you.
