  2. i thought about doing liquids but then i realized that i would just gain the weight back when i started eating again. no i was never a calorie counter..not tryn to be funny but that's why other programs didnt work for me. i know some people use fitness pal and maybe i'll look into that, but i'm just being honest in saying i know me and i know i wont keep it up. hmmmmm wondering about the exercise thing. i work out 4 days a week, two of those with my trainer. on the days when i'm not with him i do 30-50 minutes of cardio and some weights....any suggestions about the workout switch up. thanks for you input so far.

it seems whenever i'm at the point when going to the next level meaning from 250 to 240's..220's to 210's it's such a hard transition..not sure why that is, but i need to get these pounds off...ugh!

  3. i pray that God's peace would begin to surrond and engulf you as you are on your journey. it's natural to have some fear, for you are human. i had to same fears, and i think mine were magnified since i work in the health care field and see a lot of things. but i want to encourage you to try and let those feelings go, you want to go into surgery with a clear heart and mind because once you are banded you will find out that stress definelty effects your band. my prayers are with you my sista as you start your journey to a new and healthier you.

  4. i wish i was that smart and not have ended up in the red zone. which i'm in for the second time..but actually not my fault. first time fill was too much..this time after i got sick it tighten up. i used to think i want my band really tight so i cant eat. WRONG! I am miserable. wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. i think you are smart to take it slow cuz being too tight is some garbage! lol

  5. i dont agree with doctors that have a certain amout that they put in EVERYONE's band. 1 cc every couple of months might take forever to get to restriction if you are a person who needs like 7-8cc's. having the lap band is a daily routine of trying everyday. yes sometimes you may get comfortable and feel you have everything down pat, then you band starts trippn! ugh! i have been banded 9 months and my surgeon does fills when you request them, now the first fill he says he's very conservative with cuz you never know how a persons body will react, but after that he is more aggresive. between my 4th fill 2 unfills and 5th fill i was able to figure out exactly what i needed in my band. and my doc listened to me. now i got sick and my band tighted up, so i'm goin for another slight unfill, but i said all that to say this...dont beat yourself up...the band isnt a quick fix. i started at a size 18/20 and now am in 12/14 and to me that took forever, but when i look back...never in my life have i been able to loose weight like this. so be patient with yourself and your band. i think the first year you are still getting adjusted to it. hope this helps some, feel free to PM me.
