  1. I had nausea and for the first 2 days nothing stayed down. They tried two different meds but it did not stop until day three. I was still on an iv so there was no risk of dehydration. The nausea feeling last until day six and then it was gone. On the upside I had no pain at all. No gas pains -just a little soreness in my abdomen. I could walk just as normally as I did pre surgery. I slept on my side from the first night. Good luck to you!

  5. I am with you. It was a little while ago on a Friday during lent. I had a fish stick covered in tarter sauce. I took only one bite and it not sit very well. I thought it was the dill pickle in the tarter sauce though.
  6. My father was very weepy after his heart surgery and the doctor indicated it was a very normal post surgical response. It will pass. And you know where we are if you need to get it out. Hugs!

  18. Concentrate on staying hydrated. Protein can wait if it is causing problems. I can't cook ... if you can try making your own broth. I went to the chinese restaurant and ordered wonton soup and gave the wontons to my family. It tasted wonderful! I hope this helps!
  19. Ham and vegetables and maybe some potatoes.
  20. I am very excited for you! It is sometimes very mysterious how things happen.
  21. It looks like you lost some weight pre op. My doctor said the first 30 pounds were the easiest. After that it gets harder. Looks like you may be in the same boat. I lost 12 pounds total in the first two weeks and nothing in week three. I was ready for the 3 week stall and didn't get freaked out. I keep looking at 42 pound total loss and am feeling better than before surgery. Stick with the program and it will come off! HUGS
  22. I have attended a free monthly support group in my hometown starting in September 2010. I will never make the 2 hour drive into Atlanta for the meetings held by my surgeon's office.
