4th day of Pre Op Diet - What I discovered

Today is the 4th day of my pre-op liquid diet. I have 10 days to go but that's ok. The first 3 days were the hardest like everyone said but I have discovered a very good coping skill....STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN AS POSSIBLE. Everything smells good...even the garbage. But after the 3rd day it really was fine. I have been drinking the protein shakes furnished by my doctor and in between I will sip on chicken broth. I made some before hand and froze it cause I don't like the canned stuff. But what I discovered yesterday that really brought me to my knees was Wonton Soup (sans the wonton). The water or juice was wonderful.....I heard music when I sipped it OMG!. Drinking atleast 4 shakes a day and sipping broth or this wonderful wonton has made things a lot easier to tollerate. Staying busy helps too cause God knows I think about food all the time. 10 more days to go before my new tummy "Little Sleevie Wonder" arrives.

Where do you get the won ton soup? I remember my father used to get it in a can but I haven't seen it in ages.

I get mine at the Chinese Restaurant ( take out). I just get me a quart of the soup without the noodles. Yummy! Most Chinese rest carry some form of it.

I did the same with the egg drop soup from the local Chinese Restaurant lol. It was heavenly.

Yep I looked at the egg drop soup but I was scared to try it during this phase of my diet. All Soups have to be clear (broth). But I know it was good! :P At this point I am so dang grateful to have anything tastey to eat or....slurp from a cup.
