  1. Congrats!!! I was wondering how you were doing post op. I am very glad to see you back on the boards.
  2. Yeah Sleeve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just keep it up!
  3. Congrats and do as the doctor orders.
  4. My husband stayed the first night and my parents stayed in a nearby hotel. The second night my mom was going to stay with me and my dad stay in the hotel, but due to my dad's heart condition he did not want to stay there by himself. So I had them both stay. A nurse came in pretty late that night and asked which one was staying and I told her both. Nothing else was said about it. My room had the patient bed, a recliner, and a sofa/twin bed combo. Everyone was quite comfortable.
  5. Congrats on your date ... it will be here before you know it!
  6. You will be there in no time ... good luck!
  7. Congrats on the date ... April 13th will be here before you know it!
  8. Congrats on the date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. The first day of liquids was the hardest for me and I got a headache too. It got much better after that. Hang in there!
  10. You will definitely get through it. I thought the first and now the last days of the liquid diet were the hardest. I am starving today and warned my coworkers that I might get grouchy. Everyone at my office has been great with their support. IMO the 10 calorie jello would be okay. It was on the list and 10 calories is really nothing.
  11. Wonderful news ...that is quite an accomplishment! Keep up the GREAT work.
  12. Looking very good there. You also look like you are feeling a lot better. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Now I am presently pre-sleeved, but my surgeon's guidelines have me eating normal at 6 weeks.
  14. I am excited for you getting your date. YEAH!!!!!!
  15. I am right there with ya. I am on day 3 of liquids and am a little tired too. People at my office laugh because they can hear my stomach growling. I keep thinking of my surgery on the 29th and stick with the program.
  16. You are going to do great!
  17. I thought about switching when I didn't have an appointment with the surgeon within a month of my insurance approval. I called another doctor's office and was informed that the insurance approval would have to be resubmitted with a new facility and doctor's names on it. It could take 2-3 weeks for the new insurance approval. Bottom line if you are getting this kind of treatment now, it would be better to switch before your paperwork is submitted for approval.
  18. My book says 1/2 cup for strained cream soup
  19. That is amazing!!!!! I have had 3 c-sections and I know just what you mean about the overhang. GREAT NSV!!!!!!!!
  20. And in only 6 months too! Way to go!!!!
  21. Heather you deserve a big THANK YOU from me. I started my liquid diet today. I just got a call from my surgeon's office and my surgery is 3/29 ... next Tuesday! I am sorry you had to go through the cancellation but I for one will heed your warning. Best of luck on the reschedule.
  22. Wow 53 pounds ... what a birthday present for yourself. You are following your doctors guidelines and the results are showing. We can't control other peoples actions only our own. I am glad you listened to your body and stopped eating the new yogurt when something did not feel right. Your sister in law should have listened to your daughter and not insisted on a sugary celebration. A card, movie or a water bottle would have been so much nicer. I sure hope you are feeling better soon!
  23. You deserve the best and it looks like you are getting everything you hoped for. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Best of luck ... you will do great!
