If you did your research you would have learned that the band is just a tool to help you lose weight. It's not magic, it wont make you choose the right foods and if you eat slow enough you can still eat way more than you really need. It helps me to be satisfied on smaller portions of food so I consume less calories than I put out, hopefully anyways with exercise!

going 4 hours? I would pass as well on a fill. I don't even go 4 hours between meals without feeling hungry but it's a fine line for me from being just right to being too tight. I choose to be looser.

Of course I did!! I went up and down in weight that I had 5 sizes in my drawers! I was always bummed when I missed out on a pair of pants that were now too big. But on the bright side, they were too big!!

Good luck to you. I can honestly say though that my saving grace has been counting calories. I am not one of the lucky one's who rarely feels hungry until 4 hours after the last meaI. I know that I did so good the first year staying around 1000 calories a day. Been struggling with a couple pounds up and down for the last 2 months and I know that it's because I have been eating more calories.
I'd say give it a try. What could it hurt?

I was a HUGE carb lover before surgery and I have gotten used to not eating that much starchy food anymore. I'll have for dinner sometimes 1/4 cup mashed potatoes or a golf ball sized baked potato. Hang in there, it will get easier!

I just told myself the same thing yesterday, I can do this! Good luck!

yep, leftover steak I don't think would go down for me!

In a heartbeat I would do it again! Some weeks I would lose nothing and others up to 2 pounds. My first month I lost 13, down some 80 pounds in a year.Good luck tomorrow.

Well, not only did I use the last hooks, I used to use a bra extender!! No longer the case. Now I use the middle hooks. When I reach my goal I am going to buy a couple good bras that my best friend swears by and they are $120. But I trust her cuz she has some big girls too!

switch things up. Do something different for exercise and also switch up your food intake. Do you track your calories? Sometimes if you eat more one day and then down another that can help.

Just do it, who cares about what anyone else says. Look around for doctors in your area that offer weekly support group meetings for their patients. Mine does and I go to them often. I also had a 6 week emotional eating group too with a psychologist at the office. We finished that last April yet my group continues to meet on a monthly basis.
I was like you before too, avoided mirrors, avoided pictures, now I can't get in enough of them....LOL!! Sorry about your son and aunt, that is tough and I know how it is to go for food under those circumstances, happy or sad I would want to eat. It still happens now, emotional eating is a tough one to overcome. BUt if you have your husband's support, that is all that really matters. Go for it, start looking around for a dr who will be a good fit for you. You owe it to yourself, you are worth it.

48 pounds is awesome! Just think what your weight could possibly be today had you not had the surgery! That's what I was constantly telling myself when I was frustrated at my slow beginning too! But one year out and I am happy. You will get there, it's not a race, it's not a competition!

congrats! Can't wait to see you on TV!

I hear where you are coming from. But you barely have anything in your band. Crazy he only gives 1cc at a time. I have had numerous fills and 2 sslight unfills. JUst had a fill yesterday. I still struggle with hunger too. Was hoping with surgery it would ahve helped sooner than this! I am hoping this fill is the charm. I am doing the 5day pouch test. Checkout the website.... www.5daypouchtest.com I have a few friends who had great success and jump started their weightloss again. Hang in there, it will get better!

I KNOW you can do it! I am sure everyone has those kind of days at one point. It gets frustating when you are doing everything right and scale doesn't budge. Heck, I get mad when it doesn't budge but I know I haven't been as good as I have been! I am glad to hear that you are having a better day!
-
well, I can relate. I went away for 5 days and gained 5 pounds. I didn't eat an additional 3500 a day, that's for sure! but I did load up on carbs and salt. I have had really good weeks of eating and exercising and not see the scale budge much. Then one week I would drop 3 or 4 pounds. It will come off, just keep up what you are doing. I know it's frustrating and I have been there plenty of times!
