Hours Away

So tomorrow is the day!!!! The day i get the band put on.

I have mixed emotions right now. I am sooooooooo freaking happy and excited but at the same time I have been thinking about no going through with it. I am so scared that something is going to go wrong and that I wont wake back up. This however is normal for me I HATE having surgery like Im sure most people do but Im also one of those people who always thinks the worst thing is going to happen no matter what!

I have an eight month old daughter who is my life and a wonderdful husband and all I keep thinking is that im not going to come back to them.

I must get this band. I have been overweight my whole life and MUST change NOW!

I am going to do this tomorrow afternoon at one, but it would be great to hear some good things. Are you happy with the band? Would you do it again? Anything that do like about it. And honestly I would love to hear how much weight you lost on a weekly basis!

Anything you could tell me... The good and the bad would be great! Thanks

LAP-BAND Patients

I had some of the same worries. My 11 year-old almost talked me out of it, telling me I was fine the way I was. However, I'm a prayerful person and I prayed and I knew this was the tool that God had placed in my life. I also knew He was going to bring me through it with flying colors...and He did! I'm 8 1/2 wks post-op. I've lost 36 pounds. I read something this morning that really hit home to me and I posted it as my status: Worry is a misuse of imagination.

The first week was tough but it was totally worth it. Yes, I would do it again. Best wishes and God be with you on your journey. I'll be saying a prayer for you!

In a heartbeat I would do it again! Some weeks I would lose nothing and others up to 2 pounds. My first month I lost 13, down some 80 pounds in a year.Good luck tomorrow.

I was so worried the night before surgery, I couldn't sleep. I had many of the same worries you do. That was three months ago. I am 50lbs lighter and sooo happy with my lapband. You are doing the right thing. God bless
