  1. I wouldn't take medical advice from MFP. What does your doctor say?
  2. I work out six days a week on a bowflex, alternating muscle groups, and then resting on Sunday. When the weather improves I will start walking.
  3. Great to hear. All of those prayers must have worked.
  4. Don't allow yourself to become dehydrated, that is a real risk. Maybe a little unfill will be all you need.
  5. You can't spot reduce with exercise. That is a known fact.
  6. That is a great looking dog cksweetpea! Is she for sale? PS: I love dog pics
  7. I'm sorry your family had to go through this. I know how painful it can be. Kudos to you for stepping up when they needed you.
  8. Thanks for your nice comment and letting me know you can see them now.
  9. Never. Eating that sheet got me fat in the first place and it kills my glucose levels.
  10. Glad things went well for you!
  11. Okay thanks Alex. I will upload them.
  12. They were working for me yesterday in this thread: http://www.lapbandta...-deceased-pics/ Now in their place is says "posted image". Do I need to do something on my end to correct it? Thanks man.
  13. My doc never said I couldn't eat before a fill and it wasn't in the written instructions he gave me. All of these docs are so different I wonder if anyone knows what they are talking about sometimes.
  14. I take a Flinstones with iron in the AM and a Centrum Silver in the PM. Both are chewable. I tried taking the regular Centrum that taste like orange but it gave me the shivers it taste so bad to me. Maybe I will give it another try as I think my taste buds have changed.
  15. Gosh girl, you are such a loser!
  16. So sorry to hear that JennyBee. I know how hard it must be. Stay strong.
  17. Coco is so cute the way her lips are laying on the floor. So sorry she has passed. You're right, dogs are amazing!
  18. Sadly all of my dogs have passed on. They were great when I had them and I can honestly say I loved them. First is Zeus.......... He was professionally trained in obedience and obstacle course. He was a fierce protector and would not take any crap off of a person or especially another dog. I always joked that he was the body guard for my other dogs. Zeus lived 9 years. Then there are Bigfoot and Bandit. Bandit, the Pit Bull mix was my favorite and she lived for 17 years. She was very aloof with other dogs and really thought she was a person. Everybody loved Bandit and I took her with me EVERYWHERE. She was the most obedient dog and the best friend I have ever had. Bigfoot was just a big goofy dog. He was fairly smart but but kinda stupid in some ways. He had terrible allergies and sneezed constantly. He loved to run outside and even when he got older and sick he would run with the younger dogs. All of my dogs lived inside with me and I was constantly vacuuming and moping up spills around the Water bowl. I would love to see pics of your pets and whatever stories you have to tell. Post 'em up!
  19. Yep, my doc told me to stop every half hour and walk for about 10 minutes.
  20. I am trying to think if I have broken anything and I realized I have. I broke two office chairs that I use at my computer over about a 12 year period. They didn't just break suddenly but the frame slowly bent over time until they were no longer level and left me sitting at an angle. I finally ponied up and bought a "fat mans" office chair online. It is supposed to support 350 pounds so I should be okay as I weigh about 299. Hey, I know that is not a funny story but at least I did break something.
  21. This was a disturbing thing to read. I hope you are exaggerating somewhat. I wouldn't tolerate anyone, male or female, doctor or not, yelling at me.
  22. Way to go c-girl! Like your new avatar as well. Everything is just getting better for you isn't it?
  23. Great article and it is exactly what I have experienced. Thanks for writing it!
  24. I didn't ask for a card but my doctor gave me one automatically. I have never used it since I don't eat out. If I did eat out I would probably just order an appetizer though. Keep it in my wallet anyway just in case the opportunity arises to use it.
  25. Yes that does sound scary! Are you eating and drinking enough? EDIT: of course you are not eating you are six days post op. But it sounds to me like your glucose levels could be low.
