  1. I never cracked a toilet seat but I always install those oak ones anyway. Probably intuition.
  2. Thanks Maddy I forgot about the water. I get my 64 per day also. Working on it right now in fact as I sit here and listen to the thunderstorm.
  3. Tattoo I didn't mean to say a nut isn't for you per say. Just doing a little venting of my own I guess. As for me I eat and drink when I feel like it and don't go by the clock. Nobody told me to do that and I didn't read it anywhere that is just the pattern I have fallen into. (I don't eat late at night even if I am hungry) There are people here who have lost a lot more weight than I have and maybe they will give their regimen and it would probably hold more weight than mine. Basically here is what I do per day: calories 1200-1500 carbs less than 100 (because I am diabetic) Protein 60 plus That is all I track and I don't always follow it to the letter except for the protein. I think you are fine with your Protein shake early in the morning IF you are hungry at that time. Especially since you are up and on the move as opposed to going back to bed. But I surely am no expert...... and there might be some on here that will share with you.
  4. I hope I don't rub anyone the wrong way here........but I don't think much of seeing a nut. You can find out pretty much everything you need on the Internet or books, here especially. I'm sure a lot of the people on here that have seen a nut would be glad to share with you what they have learned. The Internet is a great resource and I don't see why you should pay for something you can get for free. I mean we are just talking about a diet regimen, not anything complicated. Either way I am sorry you got blindsided. It is hard to keep up with everything going on pre-surgery and you don't always know what to ask about. Hopefully you can work something out. Edit: I saw a nut three times for my pre-surgery qualifications and she didn't tell one thing I hadn't already heard before. Just the same ol' same ol' they have been saying for years.
  5. I see the picture and the link works for me. Missy are you holding your mouth right? By the way MS thin you have a great blog. Lots of pictures which everybody likes. You are very pretty and look real happy to be banded.
  6. To say I am impressed is an understatement! That is really something.......
  7. Git rid of those clothes woman! I donate all of my unused stuff, clothes or whatever, to the disabled vets organization in town. They have a shop were they sell stuff and the money in turn goes to help disabled vets. I get rid of my clothes as soon as they get a little too big. Helps keep me motivated knowing I don't want to spend more money on clothes again cause I got big.
  8. My band is 14cc and I am at six fills totaling 10cc. I have been in and out of the green zone once as I lost weight and I hope my next fill on the 19th puts me back in it because I am struggling and barely losing any weight. Hope this gives you an idea.
  9. I also am a very slow loser but I take it in stride because I am so glad to not be gaining weight. I just keep plugging along doing the best I can and the weight SLOWLY comes off. If you and your doc are in agreement that you are doing the right things then I say just keep on doing it. Maybe boost or decrease your calories a little and see if that shakes things up. Things will pick up for you eventually I believe.
  10. I only told my parents because I needed a ride home from the hospital. They, in turn, told everybody they knew.
  11. My doc put three in my band also. I have a 14ccc band. How big is yours?
  12. I don't do well with ground beef so I have just stopped eating it. For some reason it just seems to always clog me up and it is not worth the risk to me. Haven't tried ground turkey, or turkey at all for that matter.
  13. I've only added bananas or peanut butter to my protein shake. The banana was good, the pb, meh....
  14. And for me, it burns on the way out!
  15. Oh okay thanks for explaining that. It is not something I have kept up with so far. And yes I have liked many of your posts. You are one of several women on here who I always seem to agree with and ya'll offer good tips.
  16. Like Missy, I have a protein shake for breakfast and use it to wash down my meds also.
  17. Okay, what are these points everyone is talking about? Do you mean the post count?
  18. That is what I figured Alex but I thought I would ask. Thanks for responding.
  19. Welcome aboard! It must be a pretty big wagon to hold all of us fat people.
  20. Sometimes people say the most incorrect things on here or they are nasty or whatever. It sure would be nice to be able to "unlike" or "thumbs down" their comments. I can't be the only one who ever thought of this and I bet a lot of people would be for it. Or maybe they wouldn't. Seems to me having only a "like" buttons seems to slant things a little.
  21. My doc does fills every 4-6 weeks depending on many factors. It takes me at least 2 weeks to settle down after a fill so getting a fill every week would be insane for me. I am not you nor am I a doctor. But that rate of fills sounds pretty aggressive to me.
  22. Grats to you. You can walk off some of that gas pain.......
  23. This is me. It takes at least two weeks for things to settle down and give me a real feel for what level of restriction I have.
