  1. OMG..that's just funny to think about it.lol I just went swimming yesterday and ran around the pool..it was like running in slow motion but my body was moving in fast motion.
  2. Yeah, they say you should wait till after goal..I just wondered if anyone who had skin issues toned it all without having surgery..I'm not that young..lol but thanks pebbles I'm excercising but maybe not as much as I should.
  3. Everything is still in place,,but the muscle is deep underneath of this layer of skin that just jiggles when I walk, jump..move. Is surgery the only fix for this? Oh say it isn't so.
  4. I agree..movin on. But there were curse words,,apparently admin. removed that post...just sayin
  5. Oh my goodness,,I hate to hear this. You sound like a real trooper and your family..wow..they sound amazing! I recovered the exact same way they are treating you for your leak. It's no walk in the park but it beats the alternative. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, I wish you a speedy recovery!
  6. 22 pounds in 6 weeks is over 3 pounds a week,,that is great you guys!!!
  7. 22 pounds in 2 weeks,,are you kidding!?? That's awesome!
  8. "I really don't recall anyone cursing at all" I think she's referring to msdw59 Who seems to be very experienced and knowledgeable..btw.
  9. I'm not an expert at being sleeved but since I'm 1 in a thousand for a leak,,I kinda consider myself an expert in that area. Even though my leak was not due to overeating or eating the wrong thing..it CAN happen and I for one don't want to see any of you have any complications. I don't think anyone is trying to judge, I just think some of those who have been sleeved for a while feel obligated to tell the OP how important it is to try and stay on track and where so many are coming out and saying "they ate cake" or whatever..it's like OMG,,don't do that! We get scared for that person and it would make anyone more passionate about stressing an opinion. And there is nothing wrong with suggesting counselling,,I think if we are all food addicts it doesn't hurt to have a little therapy. These forums are for helping one another,,I've seen much harsher comments in other posts. I think some people try to keep it real.... I, on the other hand am a mother hubbard and always try to give advice in a nurturing way with pats on the back...though my way may not always be right.
  10. It's common for autoimmune diseases to overlap. When you have 1 you will usually end up with more.
  11. Sorry..Mine should've read Start weight 230 Last week 229.4 Today 226 GW 215 Excercised, got in protein,,didn't get in fluids
  12. Last week 230 Today weighed in 226 GW 215 I did my excercise and got my protein in but had problems getting all my fluids in.
  13. Oh..don't tell me that.lol I do suspect they will be heading south soon though
  14. Yes, I live in Ky and Frankfort is close by for me. There's one other person that lives in Ffort who would like to come too. Frankfort isn't too far from Louisville, would you be able to make it? Waiting to hear from others.
  15. I was wondering if any of you would like to get together for dinner at Applebee's in Frankfort on Sat. Aug 4 around 6pm? I would like to have 4 or more people before this is a plan. I'm sure we can find something healthy on the menu and I'd be glad to share portions with someone
  16. Sounds like he's a very lucky man with such a supportive family,,good for all of you and good luck in your journey together!
  17. After losing 70 pounds, I still have the girls. I've lost around the back and chest but my cup size is still a D. They will need a lift, I'm sure.
  18. Do you think it's the fault of the doctor? I'm really curious..I don't know what causes them.
  19. Me too, I was shocked, to say the least.
  20. I hope I don't offend either..not my intentions at all. I really sympathize with you. When I married my husband, I married his kids too and vice versa. I have always done the shopping and keep it very equal no matter what. And as for my grandbabies, I have 3 biological and 1 grandson from a stepdaughter. I give him the same and treat him the same as if he were mine. When I put myself in a blended family there is a responsibility on my husband and my part to be as normal as possible,,not only for our own sanity but to set a sound example for all the kids..we have 6 between the 2 of us btw. We don't really have in laws, our parents have passed on so I can't comment or give any advice. I just found it odd all the talk of his money, my money,,his kids,,my kids. You guys sound so seperate. Maybe start discussing and including each other. Make a list of all that you both need to buy for and involve your husband whether he likes it or not. As for buying gifts..I'd never buy a 200.00 dsi or anything of the sort for a 5 year old..leave that to the parents and keep it simple. You may not have heard anything about it or seen it again,,cause he probably broke it.lol
  21. There has been mixed opinions about stretching the stomach. I was told that it can't stretch much because the part of the stomach that stretches has mostly been removed. I'm almost 7 months out and I can hold about the same now as I did when I first got sleeved. Before I was sleeved, I could easily eat a 2 cheeseburger value meal with large fries and soda from Mcd's and then I'd head to DQ for a large strawberry cheesquake blizzard,,I'd finish most or all of it. I can hold maybe 5 ounces max now. I can't finish half a happy meal..not that I eat alot of those but just comparing. I used to eat 4 large slices of pizza with soda,,now I can't hold 1 large slice,,maybe 1 small slice. Great question kellie...
  22. Just a small update..my pre admission testing is the 23rd and my EGD is on the 25th. I'd appreciate any prayers, good thoughts or positive energy.
  23. Maybe consider going to therapy to help with the smoking and getting your head clear on eating issues. It would really help you during your pre op diet and especially after your surgery. You sound so excited,,keep your eye on the prize and that'll help keep you focused! Good luck!
  24. Probably, because sometimes insurance will not pay if you had one that recent. It's a little more invasive procedure than the others and quite expensive..especially if you are self pay. And since you had one as early as January should be all they need. Sometimes if a red flag goes up on other tests, the doctor will do further testing..that happened to me. It's good your doctor is doing his homework! Good luck on your journey!
  25. Good luck to each of you..see you on the losers bench!
