Where To Shop For Clothes
It's that time again, I've gone down another size and I have none of this size in my closet so I need practically everything. I have a few options here in my home town but was wondering if anyone else had any tips or suggestions on buying clothes...on a tight budget.

I Want To Cry... :(
6 months will go by so quickly. You really should take this time to prepare and it will give you something to look forward to. Start working on your diet, drink 64 oz water, look into different sources of protein, make a list of everything you need for the pre op diet, hospital stay, post op diet..there is so much to do you keep busy and you will see how fast the time flies. Instead of being mad, be glad that you have insurance, that you have this opportunity. 6 months is nothing..you'll see.

For The Slow Losers
Everyone is different but I have found that weighing everyday has helped me tremendously. When I see the scale budge upward ever so slightly I really get focused and work harder or make some sort of change to see if I can make something happen..add or decrease calories, add more protein/water, excercise more,,etc. I was weighing once weekly and found I would gain and not know it, If I'd see an even larger gain, I would get so discouraged. So every morning, I use the restroom, strip down and weigh in. Every .01 counts and really keeps me motivated..but I weigh only once a day,,not throughout the day cause that will just set you up for disappointment. I started losing hair at about 3 months out. I have tried everything to get it to stop but no luck. I am currently taking Biotin and biosil drops in addition to getting my Protein in. The hair that I do have is very healthy and shiny and I see new hair growth. I'm not sure all the reasons it happens as it appears to be different for everyone. Some never lose any hair while others have lost considerable amounts. This was a big concern for me pre op but it didn't out way the benefits of the surgery. I have ALOT of health issues and I'm feeling so much better these days. Good luck,,you are doing great!

Eat What You Want In Moderation Or No?
Thanks, everyone! Such good advice from everyone..so very helpful.

Eat What You Want In Moderation Or No?
That's me! Pre sleeve, I would fix dinner and have too much meat and veggies,,whatever I ate it was more about volume than what I ate.
-
Eat What You Want In Moderation Or No?
I've been eating what I want in moderation..and small amounts. How many of you live your life like this and how many are strictly on a life long diet where you refuse to eat anything but healthy? I'm not looking for anyone to slam me or whatever. I'm serious because I'm thinking of making some adjustments to my diet. I make mostly healthy choices but I do still have an occasional goodie that may not be so good for me but not all the time. I'm losing weight but slowly and if this is what is causing me to lose so slow,,I need to make some changes. I'd appreciate any helpful input.

Oh Diet Coke, How I've Missed Thee...
It's ok,,I had it coming,,I really didn't mean to say it like that though. I just couldn't see her face well. I do apologize and when i read my comment back to myself after I posted it,,it was too late to delete it. I sounded so not like myself.

Oh Diet Coke, How I've Missed Thee...
Nooo,,I really didn't mean to say anything to hurt your feelings. I shouldn't have said anything,,my apologies. I was just trying to validate why some may have thought you as a dude,,open mouth,,insert foot.

Oh Diet Coke, How I've Missed Thee...
I'm 7 months out and I've drank diet pepsi quite a few times. I'm not thinking it stretched my stomach,,I hold the same thing now as I did when I first got sleeved. I think everything in moderation is the key. MANY will disagree with me..and that's ok. I had surgery so I could still eat what I like but not a ton of it. I can have 1 cheeseburger for 3 meals instead of 3 cheeseburgers for 1 meal.

Unbelievable
I had the procedure this morning,,it's not about that. I was told I had a stricture so I went through the egd and had an area that was ballooned,,then my family was told afterwards that nothing was found but they ballooned an area anyway?? I was just confused. Dr went onto tell my family he took lots of photos and they said he seemed defensive. I just didn't understand why,,I'm just overthinking. I'm cool now..it's over.

Unbelievable
I had my gallbladder out already.

Unbelievable
I have slowed down alot,,I use to scarf it down like there was no tomorrow,,but I can't do that now. I even get this feeling when drinking Water. My chestwall muscles are really weak so he's probably right, it might just be the myasthenia. He did find a small area that he ballooned so we'll see how it goes. I've only had soft foods today,,being extra careful. The true test will be when I eat something solid.
-
Unbelievable
He said everything looked ok,,then he said there was one area so he ballooned it, so guess I wanna know was there or wasn't there a stricture. And you're right, Dorrie,,I need to quit overthinking about my dr's issues. I am I'm up and about now..have a terrible headache but I survived.

Unbelievable
I had my EGD this morning. Everything was kinda weird. The original report stated I had a slight stricture. After the procedure was over, my doctor talked to my family and they said he told them that he didn't see anything but did a balloon anyway?? I never got to see him and won't see him till follow up so I don't know what happened to me today and didn't get to ask any questions. My family also said that my oxygen levels went down during the procedure but apparently that ended up being ok. They said my dr told them he took plenty of pictures of the procedure and that I had alot of problems with the whole swallowing problem with MG before so that was probably it. I'm just shocked and feel like I just went through all the worry and stress of today for absolutely nothing. I feel like my doctor is worried I am blaming him for something and he seemed a little defensive..I don't know..it was just strange. I wasn't the one who said it was a stricture nor did I want one. I had only reported that I got a tight feeling when I eat and food would sometimes come up..they ordred the upper gi and they told me it was a stricture and that I needed this procedure. I don't know how to feel right now.
