Try limiting how much you weight yourself. Just follow your guidelines and rules, keep track of your cals and Fluid intake and wait a week to ten days and weight yourself again. You should be fine.

Hey lady! I'm active duty wife and Vet myself. You have tons of support available to you. You just have to look for it
First try a basic root of seeking out other mil wives around you that have been through the same thing. Try any base Facebook pages if your willing to be public about it, if not simply post on here in any section that your looking for a spouse in your area for support. I posted on here when I first started out and I found support that helped a ton. I bet you'll find more than you thought. Second look up a Bariatric support group around you. Any hospital that has a Bariatric program usually has one and all you have to do is ask the Bariatric clinic. Thirdly if you really are having issues with depression find a therapist that takes tricare and get some help. THERE IS NO SHAME IN NEEDING HELP!! I promise
If all else fails find WLS specific Facebook pages and see if there is anyone in the area. Or go to YouTube. Defiantly stay on here, you will find tons of ppl willing to help you on your journey.
As for an unsupportive spouse you need to sit him down and tell him what's what. Have a come to Jesus moment and just tell him you need his support and to stop doing this crap.
You can do this Hun! Stick to it your not alone

Doc'sWife got a reaction from 2goldengirl in Cheating with post op diet
No one on here can say they have never cheated but I have to agree with others. The post-op diet is to help you heal correctly and in the most healthy way possible to prevent any possible issues.
Aside from that if you start those habits so early what is to stop you later on from having just that one slice of pizza or the breadstick that goes with it. Later you'll want that soda (and it will hurt). Yes you will lose post-op with any surgery but if you don't at first make yourself follow the rules they won't become habit and it could become very difficult to maintain your weight loss or stop losing weight all together.
You can do this and it was only two things. It's very easy at this point to reign it in and say no more. Good luck

Although some individuals report too much weight loss after RNY gastric bypass surgery, I don't believe this problem is very common.
It is somewhat common for some individuals once they get into the maintenance phase after surgery to regain some or all the weight back. It means that once you lose the weight you have to continue working at maintaining the weight that you lost. Generally that means exercise and avoiding grazing.

So I'm sitting here on the couch watching the Saturday morning news (Living the dream, I know)...
I thought I'd check in here, so I reached over and grabbed the laptop...
Opened it, signed in and have been sitting here checking you all out and commenting in my usual inimitable style...
All of a sudden, I realize that I've been sitting here for half an hour with the laptop actually in my lap..
    MY LAP???
When did I get A LAP??
    Oh yeah!!!
    Listen up b*tches -
NSV or not, I HAVE A LAP!!!
    Anyway, that's all...
    Go back to your...

I have no idea how to answer but I'm curious to see what others say. Personally even thoigh I've lost 150 lbs i still have the mentality of the fat girl who ws always trying to hide herself with baggy clothes, oversized hoodies and such.

@@Doc'sWife Wow I guess there are more people than I thought going through this. I have a lot of anxiety about this just because the lap band didn't work out for me but at the same time I can't wait to start this new life. I'm going to put everything I have into making this work for me. Good luck to you and we should definitely keep in touch, I would love to have someone to talk to that knows what I'm going through.

A little thing that helped me a ton what adding some spicy heat to the chicken broth, like chili powder and garlic. It made me feel fuller almost like I had a regular Soup. I still did that when I drink broth for something

Doc'sWife got a reaction from ronnie87 in Met a guy three weeks before my surgery...Crap!
thats a touchy subject. i know how you feel kinda, my husband supports my choice for the surgery but he doesnt agree with it. i was in a program for the surgery about 2 years ago and he told me it was a big mistake and that I was just lazy and not trying hard enough. Also he was concerned about the trouble it might cause when it comes to having kids so i dropped out of the program. now i have really tried to lose the weight for him but i'm still here, so surgery here i come. I made it clear to him that this was what i needed and that i was going ahead with it and cleared his medical concerns for me but he still isn't a fan of it. So touchy subject all around and I'm married to my great guy. If you do tell him just make sure he knows how strongly you feel about it and thats who you are. In the long run guys can come and go, you have to make yourself happy. If he understands that then I say he's a keeper. good luck
