I think you can have the juice. It'll be up to your stomach as to whether it'll be happy or not. Pickle juice is good for you. They actually sell pickle juice frozen pops. :-). I plan on getting some for post op.

I cheated off and on during my pre surgical diet. I was supposed to be on all liquids likely because I'm on the higher end of bmi. I did get a Jr bacon chee a cpl times in my first week. My doc told me a week before my surgery I could have chicken because I told him I was starving all the time. I'd have a chicken breast and I had boiled eggs too. And the day before my all clear liquid diet aka 2 days before surgery I had chocolate mochi. Like, more of them than I'd like to admit. I still lost 35 lbs in 11 days. My surgery was on the 20th. No problems. No complications. And I'm healing perfectly. A pickle is a Veggie. No, it won't kill you or complicate anything. Have a pickle . I won't judge ;)

I used the pickle pops in the first couple of weeks post-op too. Really helped with the savory craving and helped get in some fluids. Very high in salt (which I am sure you know) so I probably wouldn't have more than 1 a day (post-op I mean).

blend that pickle! You can blend pretty much ANYTHING even early out. I blended 5 goldfish crackers b/c I was sure I was gonna scream if I had one more sweet (jello/protein drinks/popcicles) thing to eat

I'm laughing at the pickle sucking images that come to mind......

Glad you feel relieved.

Later on....after you advance onto solid foods you'll be able to enjoy them with no problem. They come as sides to a lot the stuff I order at work cafeteria or in restaurants......chicken sandwiches, burgers, etc. I'll eat the burger or chicken and then have the pickle as sort of a dessert. Works for me.

Hang in there.....you are going to be amazed at how easy this wls is to live with down the road. So easy to find a way to win.

You know what's crazy?? I'm now 11 days out and I have been craving pickles for a few days now. I think it might be our bodies telling us we need more salt??

They were so good...its 745am and i took a sip of the juice..lol..i swear so far its the only thing that has really hit the spot of what i wanted...I dont know why but alot of the things like the Jello, broths, even the Vitamins are kinda making me alittle queezy now and i feel like i can taste out the unflavored protin powder in everyrhing im have to mix it with and that really is also making me nauseous..dmh..i know ima mess..lol.....So i just try to get it down when i have to, but its like 1 of those things that i know later on im not ever want again...When i was pregnant i ate so much chinese food that now i wont eat it ever, i just cant..Well any whoo, the pickle and juice is really satifying...im a vinegar lover....I cant wait to get my big jar of pickled veggies, Mmmm cant wait :0)
