Tips For Protein Shakes?!
Gaspari Myofusion Peanut Butter and chocolate is my absolute favorite. I get it at vitacost.com I get so much stuff there. Free shipping over 49.00 but i love the Oh Yeah peanut butter/choc Protein bars so it's easy to make a $50.00 order. My first few months post op, I could barely eat more than a few bites of food every day, so yes, I definitely supplemented with Protein drinks until I was able to eat more nomally.

Need Help!
I was going to say too that it sounds like you could be having a gall bladder attack. Try googling that too and see if you have any other symtoms of gall bladder problems. A gall bladder attack is very painful. Believe me, I was freaking out over having to go to the hospital and what it would cost. In the end, I had no choice and went straight to the emergency room.

Tips For Protein Shakes?!
You can get some great samples if you go to the food section and the thread "places to order samples." The Syntrex nectar sample pack is a great deal and so is the Chike. People seem to really like both of those brands in all the flavors. I agree the Premier from costco are great too. I don't have a Costco here, but I pick them up when I am out of town.

Self-pay: Is It Worth It?
I am over 2 1/2 years out and I haven't gained it back. You do have to watch the junk food consumption but as far as meals go, I can't eat much so if I don't pig out on candy, I stay at goal. I paid 10 grand for my revision surgery in MX and it was the best money I have ever spent!

Dating After Surgery! Help Please!
There is a very active singles board on OH ( Obesity Help) We talk about that a lot. I had WLS 5 years ago, so I have dated lots of guys. None of them cared. In fact, a lot of them said they know someone else who had WLS. I am now living with my bf and the only thing he says once in awhile is that I sure don't eat much, but he's glad I am not fat!! I have to say how nice it was to put my profile on the online dating sites and be able to check the box "average" instead of few extra lbs or BBW, and to not be afraid to post a picture!!

What kind of Protein drinks?
I bet it's cheaper to order the Nectar products directly from Sytrex. I know you can get samples of all the flavors from them for around $13. The phone number is in the food section under places to get samples. It's a very good deal!!

Mushy Foods - I Need Your Input!
Look for the ricota bake recipe in the food forum. Mushy foods I enjoyed were tuna salad, egg salad and chicken salad make with Miracle Whip Light, refried Beans and cheese, mashed up white fish, cottage cheese, and ground beef such as meat loaf or meat balls.

Drastic Weight Loss Within First Month
I had a friend who had problems like you are describing. She found out she was having esophageal spasms. She had to slowly sip warm broth or liquids to soothe her esophagus. In between meals, she sucked on ice chips to keep herself hydrated. I would think the first thing your surgeon would have done was prescribe an acid blocker. Please keep us informed of your progress so that others can learn from this too. I am so sorry you're experiencing this and I hope it passes soon.

Need Some Help. What Did You Do With Very Slow Losses?
If you had a lower bmi to start with, it's common not to lose as fast as people who have a lot more to lose. I never lost consistently every week. I would go maybe 3 weeks without losing anything and then suddenly drop 5 lbs in one week. You're doing everything right. My nutritionist told us that how much Protein you need depends on your height. 60-70 grams may just be enough for you.

Did Anyone Have The Smaller Lap Band 2002
I had a small band and had no trouble having the revision surgery and the band removed at the same time. Are you having any problems or symptoms of band troubles?

Share Your Tips For Eating Out.
I order from the senior menu, or order an appetizer, or share a meal with a friend. If I order a regular meal off the menu, I take most of it home. I find myself ordering chicken salad a lot , because it's really easy for me to eat.

Protein Help
Go to the food section of this board and you'll find a thread on where to order samples. You can get chike samples pretty cheap. Also, the Syntrex Nectar products are very popular and have some clear options. Also , the samples for that are pretty cheap!

Maybe it's your browser. I have firefox and I have ads for surgeons of bariatric surgery. Sometimes I get Unjury ads too.

Anyone Else Hate To Eat Out?
Honestly, you will be surprised at how much normally you will be able to eat after you are farther out. I can eat A LOT of salad. I guess that's because lettuce chews down to nothing. Some places even offer half salads. I love that. half of a chicken salad is just about perfect.

Excess Saliva (sliming?)
That's actually a very good article. Try taking smaller bites and chewing it up very, very well. Sliming is the pits, and it has nothing to do with the band. I am sure every sleeve patient will experience this at one time or another. I still do it after 2 1/2 years, if I eat too much or too fast. It very rare for me now though.

Gall Bladder Issues after Weight Loss Surgery
If I would have had a choice or knew to ask about it , I would have had it out at the time of my revision surgery. I went through hell with my gall bladder and it causing pancreatitis. I didn't know about the weird color of poop. I thought that had something to do with being sleeved.I read that somewhere after I had my gall bladder out. I would have gone to the dr. a lot sooner if I knew that meant a gall bladder attack would be coming!

Anyone Else Hate To Eat Out?
Breakfast is the hardest one for me to eat when I have to go out to breakfast. I drink a protein drink for breakfast and I have for the past 5 years. So when I go out to eat, I have no idea what to order. I don't like eggs, and everything else is carbs.
