    Feeling frustrated and sad

Oh that does sound very frustrating!! How much have you lost? Logically, you must be losing weight because you’re on a very calorie restrictive diet. I hope you just keep on doing the right things. Those pounds are probably dropping but water weight is holding on snd covering the loss.

Do you have an awesome doctor?

Thats so sweet 😊 I think I had a really good surgeon. I did mine inthe UK at parkside hospital with Dr . Vasilikosta. I have social anxiety so I am not easy to be around . But he was really nice to me, friendly and understanding. We bumped elbows (instead of fist bumping , because covid) at the end haha. The surgery itself went really well. I woke up with little pain, not much gas pain and could drink relatively easily.

Horseshowmom, agree with other posters.... this sounds like weight retention. The IV fluids contain lots of sodium. Also your body is in shock. Encouraging you to stick with the plan; this will change eventually!

It would be disappointing to think you're heading toward one destination and end up in a different 'town'. I hope you are feeling better and obviously your Surgeon made the best choice for your situation. I had my surgery 11-4 and gained weight. I didn't see a net loss until yesterday morning. And it was a couple of lbs. Please try not to feel disheartened. You're doing all you can on your side- the weight Will come off! 🤗

Agree with the above! Your body is recovering and if you had IV's you are probably carrying some water weight! Stay the course! HUGS!

I lost 23 pounds the first month HOWEVER, you started out at a hundred pounds less than me. So 17 pounds in the first month is fantastic! Be proud, you're doing great!

    Coffee...oh how I miss it

I think it's all about moderation. I bought decaf and at my first post follow up, I mentioned that the decaf wasn't doing it for me. My surgeon asked how much coffee I drank and I said one large cup each morning and that's it. He said it would be fine. I stopped using creamer and started using Premier Protein Caramel or Fairlife Vanilla plus collagen protein, so it's a protein bomb too!

    Stopped Losing Weight

I have had the same issue. I lost 20 pounds in the first week after surgery, then after that I was just gaining and losing the same 5 pounds...then 3 pounds and now I'm just stalled. 24 pounds down for month 1. I am just now entering my second month and I log everything I eat and drink. I usually net about 400-600 cals a day. I started just walking a mile or 2 after dinner and it seemed to help, also I was not drinking enough water, so I've been making it a point to just keep a 40 oz bottle on hand and sip all day, and refill once more and sip all evening. I've been in this gain/loss/stall since Oct. 5th actually. But the inches are definitely coming off! Log everything, and eventually it will break the stall I think! I'm telling myself that everyday at least.
