    Break-ups 😓

My boyfriend and I broke up over the weekend, and I just wanted to reach out to my bari-family for support 😓 I remember reading loads about how after surgery lots of people found that their relationships broke down for one reason or another, and the statistics around this being quite shocking. Whilst I don't contribute my break-up to my surgery/weight loss, I am struggling at the moment with the emotional side of things following it all. Rather than emotional eating, I am finding that I have 0 appetite at all, I just don't want to eat, I don't want to do my exercise, ugh. But I am also scared of just doing nothing. I don't know guys, I am rambling, but either way , just wanted to reach out to see how others have dealt with this in their own lives. ❤️

    Break-ups 😓

@The Greater Fool Thank you for your response I agree that it can also apply to the relationship we have with ourselves - something I definitely need the time and space to figure out. I do have a therapist who I shall be seeing tomorrow, so I know that will help. It has definitely thrown me off balance but I do agree it is something to get through and to process with time.

    Break-ups 😓

I always rate what @The Greater Fool says. He is a straight to the point kinda guy. I was a house mouse. Now I am the total opposite. I need nobody but if you want to come on the ride with me then thats fine. My husband has had to adapt and he is not finding the change easy but he will or ..... ? I am the woman I have waited to be all my life. Don't feel bad, give yourself some time to grieve. A loss takes time to get over.

    Hair loss 😪

Have you spoken to your doctor about it or maybe asked about seeing a dermatologist? Do you think it is still more than what you usually lost seasonally pre surgery? (It can be easy to be over sensitive to seeing any hair loss especially after losing the amount many of do.) Have you noticed any regrowth? Regrowth is always a good sign. I have a little thin spot above my temple on one side courtesy of menopause and I use minoxidil (men’s 5% - the women’s 2% isn’t strong enough) and it’s been helpful. Maybe give that a go. It dyes take a couple of months to see the regrowth and you do have to use it everyday and for as long as your hair loss continues (which may mean forever). I know there are a few of us here who use it. Not sure if you’ve done any reading into telogen effluvium which is what our hair loss (result of stress, dietary changes, etc.) is called. If not you may find this a useful start. https://www.healthline.com/health/telogen-effluvium#treatment

    Taking vitamins

Some meds can also be crushed. But you will want to ask a dr or pharmacist. They sell pill crushers at many stores. I imagine a vitamin would be absolutely horrible crushed though. I would definitely splurge for the chewable before I tried that.

All good advice here. I'll just offer a big old shedload of sympathy. It's hard.

    Arm lift recovery time

I am about 6 weeks out from my arm lift. I was cleared Friday to resume normal activities. Today I was at the gym lifting weights, though not yet quite as much as presurgery. Do everything they tell you and recovery should be a breeze!

    Amazing transformation

This may not be the best place for soliciting donations... Depending where you are located there are a few charities that can help: https://www.linkedin.com/redir/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdressforsuccess.org%2F&urlhash=NfIX&trk=about_website https://womengivingback.org/need-help/ There is also Facebook marketplace for free items and maybe even swaps. If none of those work out for you, you could learn to resize your own clothing for the cost of needle, thread and patience. Good Luck
