    Scared of losing weight

I guess I didn't really care - I just knew I didn't want to be fat anymore. I lost over 200 lbs, and this is what I looked like (I have since had plastic surgery - but this picture was taken BEFORE plastic surgery). For me (and many of us), the excess skin was easy to hide. I just wore 3/4 length (or longer) sleeves and slightly oversized, long-ish tops. Ta da! No more loose skin. Although you're right - you and your husband will know it's there, even if no one else does. I didn't like my loose skin, but on the other hand, I would have taken it any day of the week over being morbidly obese again. I don't know how old you are, how overweight you are, or how long you've been overweight, because all those play a role in how much loose skin you'll end up with. Some people really don't have all that much. I'm probably worst case scenario.

    Fingers locking?

Hi everyone. I had my vsg on April 7th. A few nights ago I felt really bad tingling in my left arm and left side of face. It went away after about an hour or so (not sure if it's related). I went to the beach last night, and you know how when you're sitting on the ground, you put your arms behind you and kind of relax on your arms? Well I was doing that and every time I moved from that position, when I'd move my arms back to normal, my fingers on both hands would be stiff and "locked" for a few seconds before I could move them. I ofcourse thought calcium, but I'm taking my vitamins, calcium chews, and still having one premier protein shake a day with 650mg of calcium in that alone, so idk. Has anyone else had this?

this is my first post. Hey YALL 😀 I'm Bridgette I had the lap-band placed, corrected, removed within 3yrs of each other back in 2013. Had it removed in 2015. After gaining most of the 80lbs I loss back, I had the VSG in 2017.Since then I have been stuck at 260 for several months, I think the lowest I've gotten with the sleeve was 240ish even with diet and exercise.. the scale is not moving. I'm electing to have the bypass because of the severe GERDS and also to aid in my weight loss. I must admit after ALL of the surgeries I've had. I'm terrified of this one. I keep hearing about the pain being worse than any other. I wanted to get some feedback from others who have had similar surgeries. Can you all post before and after weight loss, and how you all handled the pain with this surgery.. My nerves are bad. Am I over thinking this or are my fears valid? Let me know. Feel free to follow my journey on my IG @sincerely.blj I'll follow back Also I downloaded the app for this website, Am I tripping or is it not working?😂

I have a virgin RNY, not a revision, but I had almost no pain with this surgery. Part of me wondered at first if he actually even did the surgery... most people getting a revision do get an immediate relief from GERD (not all - but most), and additional weight loss is around 20 lbs, but I'm sure that depends on your BMI and how hard you work at losing weight. I'm sure you can find people who've lost more than that.

    51 is the new 50!

Hi everyone [emoji5], I'm about to change my life for the better. After years of weight-loss struggles due to hysterectomy and hormones I finally got up the nerve to walk into a weight-loss clinic and forever change my life. Scary as it seemed the team at the center were and are beyond helpful and kind. Not only that but my Dr. Had bypass surgery himself so he knows all the struggles we will face. My greatest shock is I've suffered for 24 years with GERD and the Dr said you have a hienal hernia let's knock that out and get you a gastric sleeve and put this behind you. So here I am headed for scope and ultrasound next week then to the next step. Today I weight 236 at 5'4 yet I'm beautiful so I can not wait to find that hot mama [emoji7]just dying to be set free. A few milestones this week

I thought I'd log in with a few updates today. I started this process back on July 31st with a high weight of 284. I lost 34 lbs before surgery on Sept. 21st and weighed in at 233.2 this morning. The two big milestones are that I passed 50 lbs lost and I am now a BMI of 34, which means I'm only "obese" instead of "morbidly obese". I have a long way to go to my 180 target, but I am happy about the progress so far.

    Changes in relationships PO

wow !!!! I have been discussing this with my sister who will have this surgery next year and my niece who is 8 months out and looking fabulous and she warned me this is inevitable especially with females unfortunately and she told me to be ready with a comeback when they make little negative comments sooooo im gonna just say. I was morbid obese, had high blood pressure ,high cholesterol taking 8 pills a day and had severe sleep apnea sooooo let me get this straight you think I should have stayed like that rather than be and look like this??? WOW and just walk away...…..
