So, I've been trying various calorie trackers and just came across one that has the actual nutrition label information for every food you eat! It's called Nutrionix Track and it's in the google playstore. I've been using calorie trackers for just over a week now and I have lost 6 lbs already (going from 310 to 304) and that's staying around 1300 calories a day. I stayed at 500 till I was close to the goal even now I am never hungry and force myself to eat and get calories - Just make sure you are getting all your vits and minerals in that was my issue at low calories

Also look into a medication called maalox plus, you can get it off amazon pretty cheap, I got some for myself and it really does help, you do have to wait between having say adcal D3 and then taking the maalox, but it does help, it's also good for heartburn and indigestion too

Appreciate all these responses! I hope my post will be helpful to those in similar situations who are researching the surgery. And yes, for clarity, I kneW Bypass wasn't going to be the cure. But I still... hoped. Or thought it would make it easier to take control of that part of the eating issue. It really doesn't. What it haS done is shone a bright light on my addiction... because I immediately feel ill and swear it's not worth it in the throes of nausea... and then seem to lose that resolve a few hours later when I magically feel fine again. Before surgery I never had that kind of instant, black and white feedback. I've never spoken with a therapist about my food issues. But the encouragement in these responses makes that option sound promising. Thank you!

I had my sleeve on 11/30. All went well and on surgery day I felt great with no pain. Then the next day I vomited all day long. I also had a problem where my IV came out and it took a surgical team to get it back in. Now I'm doing much better. No pain and I am doing fine with liquids. I haven't lost a single pound yet but I'm assuming that will change soon.

You are still worth the investment! Why such spikes? Transport? Covid? Groceries here have tripled across the board. A quick run in for only a few things is over $100.00 now! The better quality you chose to eat aka fresh fruits, veggies, grass feed meats, organic eggs, etc. AND no cheap processed stuff...the more you pay. Just shows how broken the USA food pyramid and food system is! Obesity, fast food + junk food seem to be celebrated via policy! Egregious, really. Joining you for our mutual $ 25.00 salad. Haha!
