    Lowest point before surgery

We went to Colombia earlier this year. I haven’t seen anyone in 4-5yrs. I had 4 kids in that absence. Lost about 60lbs before we went. Everyone- I mean everyone- was saying all these things on how fat I was . I was feeling pretty good about myself and realized I’m still REALLY big (80lbs over weight at the time) . I felt so embarrassed for my husband and my children - let alone myself. When we came back I went off the handles like why bother I’m going to just be the fat one in the family for the rest of my life 😬. Gained back the weight. Yo-yo’d for a bit and it really set in I need help. I don’t want to be the fat mom at my kids practices. I don’t want to be the mom that hides at water parks or turn down pool parties . I don’t want to be the mom too scared to go to the fair or amusement parks in fear of being too big . And ffs I’m only 30, I’m not ready to be immobile when I have a 5,4,3,2yr old.

    So many chest pains

I’ve been sleeved since 9/24/2019. To date I’ve lost about 107lbs. I never seemed to have any issues with food or anything for a while but lately for the pas few months I’ve been having bouts of severe chest pains. So bad I can hardly move. Often they are accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Can’t say that it’s what I eat because often times it comes after eating foods I’ve eaten the entire time since being sleeved like eggs avocado and I usually have no issues. This morning for example I woke up like this. I have had an endoscopy done which found no problems. Today I’ve tried taking an antacid and a gas pill and I’m finding a really no relief. I’ve been laying here in bed all morning with a heating pad trying to get it to pass. Doctors really have nothing to tell me. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    Skytu Scans (at Crunch Fitness)

I am considering a move from LA Fitness to crunch Fitness. CF has Skytu scans. Anyone with experience with these body scanners, especially as used by Crunch Fitness? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm having surgery on the 26th so I have been eating everything in sight. I only have a 3 day pre-op diet to follow which is liquid with protein. I can't wait for surgery, but I feel content having been able to pig out the last few days.

    Weight loss and gain

No. Why should I? It's still statistics and a person is not number 1.256 in some study someone conducted but always an individual in the end. So if daily weighing drives one crazy, raises anxiety and obsessive behavior, it might be the more sensible decision to abstain from daily weighing as long as they're satisfied with the results.

    Screwed Today = 1st Thanksgiving -

I have completed this feast - Way to much of a freakin head game for me to cook for all these people, but I am glad i did it and the feast is set to be served in a few hours, No i cant eat carbs or heavy foods right now but I am only 4 months pre Op - I would heave it up, but some of the veterans around here will jump in. Two spoons of my stuffing and i would be screwed, It was not as bad as i thought it would be and my kids are happy - Now its time for me to sip some vodka and hide by the TV. Let them graze and one thing for sure - THEY ARE TAKING EVERY BIT OF THE LEFTOVERS OUT OF THIS HOUSE - It was just a learning experience but i quickly seperated myself from the food and just did it as a job, If I did not due the surgery I would most likely never be able to do this for my grandkids, so i twisted it around in my head and vodka can fix the rest of the mental issues.

    BED Treatment Pre-Surgery

I’m a binger and then restricter and wash and repeat. I’ve been this way all my life. Never had problems with weight until after kids. I’ve been seeing my psych - the one my surgeon had us see for eval. It seems to help but I’m worried long term myself. She assured me that the sleeve will really help me with this. She had WLS years ago and said it helped tremendously with her own eating disorder- she use to eat a ton when no one was around and hide all evidence. So, I have some faith. I don’t have much imput, as I’m in around the same phase as you in WLS but I’m here if you ever need to talk.

Bunch of us can be January Twins. I am looking at January also. Met surgeon and I love her. Had one nutritional meeting and the next is next week. It is required that I lose 8 pounds before surgery but I have already done that. Using Baritastfic and staying under 2500 cal per day. Trying to keep carbs under 50 and protein around 80 but don't always make that. It is a little hard trying to do all three. I am 66 years old and have lost and gained weight since high school. Lost 50-100 pounds 3 or 4 times in my life. I just can't seem to KEEP it off. I get all kind of into a new project and then get depressed and start eating again. Hoping WLS will make the intervention I need. A few big factors inmate deciding to do this are, serious arthritis in my lower back has caused a lot of pain lately and then I find out my sister had RNY a year ago, A niece did 3 years ago and a friends daughter did 3 years ago. When I found out all of these people were doing successfully on top of the pain I was experiencing, I decided to go forth and 'check' it out during the pre op steps. Wasn't long into the step that I am full on go. Git er done!

    Taste Change?

I was never a person with a sweet tooth (I preferred salty things more), but now I find that I more easily gravitate towards the sweet stuff. However, this only seemed to happen when I introduced sweetness into my diet. During weight loss phase I was still pretty ambivalent towards dessert, but since going into maintenance and allowing myself some, I actually think I want it more. 🤷🏼‍♀️
