    Food funerals?

I had my "last supper" because I'd convinced myself that it was the last time I'd have those things. Well I was right and wrong. In December, 2017, i gave up bread, rice, pasta and potatoes...it was hard because I really loved bread. Im almost six months post op and down 62 pounds. I've had some sweets, but can only have a few bites. Your new sleeve will not hold much. What you're experiencing is normal. Most of us have been there. Trust me, when you start to lose weight, you'll look at foods differently. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 199 GW: 165

Please give me your meal plan

My eating plan is: real food, not processed eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm not lay off the booze. I can only remember three rules at a time...seems to be working quite well! 😊

    Hungry

Girl I am always hungry. Nothing ever satisfies me. It really sucks. I am 7 weeks post op. I miss my old life of eating I really do. I’d do anything for fast food. But it’s nice losing 31lb too. Ugh the struggle.

    Being wasteful.......

What a great idea. I too donated my stuff to my cousin who just had surgery. I was happy to see it all go. Sent from my LGMS210 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hungry

I am almost 6 weeks out and I feel hungry a great deal of the time. I am having the same issues. I am very disappointed that I am not feeling the restriction as I thought I would. I can eat more than I am supposed to be eating at any meal. I stop myself because I know I shouldn't be eating that much. I was told to add vegetables also with my meal to help me feel fuller. I really wanted to feel restricted or nauseous, something that tells my brain to stop besides my own judgement and common sense, which if I had good judgement and common sense I would not have needed the surgery in the first place. My primary care doctor who specializes in weight loss told me he didn't care if I was eating a little bit more as long as I am showing that I am losing weight. My surgeon at my second follow up was surprised that I could eat more than 4 ounces and said that should be impossible that I should be eating less than 2 ounces. It is very difficult and can be a slippery slope. I continue to surprise myself however with mostly good decision making and control. I am also getting bored with the foods I am eating and having trouble finding variety. Good luck.

Sigh. I’ll hide the black beans in the back of the pantry. It’s not fun being non compliant when I wasn’t even trying to cheat. Oh well. I can have it in a month

    Being wasteful.......

I overbought some things. Have a 20 pack of protein water I will never drink in the pantry unless it’s for a hurricane emergency. I do get sick of leftovers but I’m ok with that. I freeze some and try to make less but I do throw away food. Once I eat something four or five days in a row I’m sick of it. We live and learn through this process I guess! 😂

    Being wasteful.......

With each day, week that passes it does get easier and you learn to accommodate your new pouch. Cooking for one is hard. Do you have friends that you can swap recipes / food with? I had a friend where she'd cook and share and vice versa. It makes things a little easier. I also use to get paid to cook for people I work with. I'd buy the food and cook / prep so they didn't have to... literally no left overs....
