I have a desk job, and short term disability that covered my salary. I took 4 weeks, and wish I had taken 6. Not because I had a difficult recovery, but because it was nice to have time to learn new habits and focus on ME. It was fantastic. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app

GAS! I cant seem to get relief

Hot water bottle,or warm towel there. Try lying on your tummy face down , yeah ouch! Worse come to worse, try this maneuver. Take your right ARM , put it over the top of your head and try to grab your left ear. The shifting of your diaphragm will sometimes bring that bubble out. Go for a walk out in the beautiful sunlight, if you belch and dart outside it don't mean no never mind. Do knee bends, kill two birds with one stone, get the gas bubblesout and you've got some exercise in. And keep saying through cleanched teeth, THIS TOO SHALL PASS! and maybe it will!

    I'm stuck

You lost 40 pounds in less an a month? That's amazing! I've lost 52 pounds in 3 months and I'm really happy with that. Don't be hard on yourself.

    Chili

Not Creek but Frust8. I'm pretty sure that's the size she meant. Swanson and College inn are now marketing larger cans and cardboard containers. that look like at milk cartons, at least that's what Kroger and Wal-Mart have on their shelves.

    Am I drinking too much?

I’m constantly sipping. It will probably be harder when I return to work next week, I’ll need to keep reminding myself. A square of dark chocolate is ok, as long as we don’t eat the block. I start my purée/mushy phase tomorrow. Have checked in with my nutritionist and he wants me on 800 calories a day during this phase.

    I'm stuck

Stalls are part of the process.. I hva had about 6 to 8 stalls... I am 15 months post op.. try changing your diet and add more protein.. sometimes eat a bit more calories.. stall tells your body to slow down in your weight loss.. its expexted and normal... most important part dont be discouraged.. best of luck

I have a desk job and I returned after 7 days and it was fine. I have a desk that goes from standing to sitting so I made sure to alternate often. I am 13 days post op and I feel awesome (knock on wood).

    Modesty question

I'm much more open with my skin. I know I'm still "a fatty" but, I'm way less a fatty than I was and it bothers me SO MUCH less now. Like, going to the gym and changing in the locker room. Normally I'd be SUPER QUICK to get a shirt on during changing... now, I don't rush it. Sure those super buff dudes walking in are going to be like.. damn that dudes fat. But, it no longer bothers me. The way I figure it out. You don't judge a statue by the size of the block of stone, you wait until it's finished before you judge. I'm part way through my own personal re-sculpting, and I give myself a TON of slack for it.

    Vegetarian

I do not do the non fat, sugar free stuff and never did. I eat vegetarian and vegan meals. I’m also a year out from being sleeved. I’ll tell you in the beginning it is imperative that you do focus on getting protein in though. I did it with plant protein powder. I did suck it up and just used some premier protein (cause insurance paid for it) for a little while. When I started soft foods, I had eggs, cheese, and mashed black beans. There are some threads in the vegan/vegetarian forums that can be helpful for ya, as we’ve all shared what we’ve done, had, eating, etc.
