Went through the five trash bags of too-small clothes I have accumulated (some are mine from when I was a little smaller, some were my mom's, some a friend's, some yard sale finds, some bought at store closeout/clearance sales). One bag ended up being a bag of to-donate items that had gotten mixed in with the others inadvertently, so I don't have as much as I expected. But it's now separated into two bags of pants and two bags of shirts, organized by size.

It's been discussed in my support group. The members who have experienced this have found that doubling their fluid intake helps to curb their appetite. One member found the extra fluid intake not only curbed her appetite but also promoted weight loss. If you've been reading some of the threads on unflavored protein powders some do add it to their fluids to increase protein consumption as well. After much experimenting I bought unjury brand protein powder and it doesn't have the strong whey taste other non flavored powders have. So, by drinking more fluids and possibly adding a protein powder to the fluids you probably can work out your problem.

Check with your plan/dietician first. Check the nutrition facts on these and decide if its worth fitting into you macros for the day. Just because it's sugar free. It is not calorie and carb free... Quest has a 21 g protein peanut butter cup. You don't have to eat both cups in one sitting lol sugar free chocolate pudding with protein powder added. Strawberries dipped in hershey's sugar free syrup or melt hershey's sugar free chocolate chips.

    Scared of surgery

It is much easier not to get or give in to cravings--your stomach simply won't hold much. It's true that your appetite will return eventually (mine has). but you'll still have a tiny stomach and will be full/satisfied on very little food. Some days I feel like I'm doing nothing but eating, but then I actually calculate what I've had and it's still only about 1,000 calories (this is after nearly seven months). Today, for example, I had cottage cheese and cantaloupe for breakfast, high-protein oatmeal for lunch, and half a can of chili and some toast for dinner--yes, too many carbs. But not that much food or calories generally. The sleeve is a tool that helps you (a lot) for a year or so, during which time you can learn new habits while losing a significant amount of weight. I'm not sure how much restriction I'll feel down the line, although reports on here suggest it varies for each individual. But I'm already used to thinking about the need for the protein first (and I know I need to eat more veggies--but that's always been a challenge for me). A couple of things: don't stress yourself out trying to predict the future. Know that different people have different levels of pain, hunger, etc. Accept that the first month or so won't be much fun. Know that you can blow this if you try hard enough--but know also that this is absolutely the best chance of losing significant weight, keeping it off, and learning how to live like a "normal" person. For some positive encouragement, look at some of the threads with before/after pictures. That'll keep you motivated! Good luck!

    Bad Choices

Of course you're not the only one to go through this. I bet you'd find the vast majority of us on this board have made a bad choice or three pre or post surgery. Beating yourself up feels pretty good sometimes, right? Do you know what feels better all the time? Being your own best friend. What if you tried that instead?
