  3. I had horrible GERD before surgery but after my GERD went completely away. I was one of the lucky ones.
  4. No problem! My pre-op diet was two weeks. It consisted of three meals that totaled in 800 calories. I did not follow pre-op diet well. Oops. But now, my sleeve keeps me very restricted. I love it. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I started my weight loss journey at 443 lbs. I had my sugery on March 12, 2018 at 394 lbs (VSG). I'm not down to 310 lbs. I didn't prepare well because I was so addicted to food but I do have very active job. But I'm very pleased with my surgery. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  10. I had my surgery (vsg) on March 12 of this year. I had complications after surgery. I had a high fever and a high blood pressure after surgery. It only last a couple of days. With this said, I would get this surgery over and over again. This surgery gave a quality of life I didn't think I would have. Do not cancel your surgery. This surgery is worth it. 14. I think head hunger is a definite real thing. I'm about four months post op and I'm one of the lucky ones that still gets full off of a tablespoon of food. When I get 'hungry' I immediately think that I need to eat something with protein because I know it'll fill me up super fast. I don't know if this answers your question but this is my take. I really focused on filling my stomach with things that make me full fast. When I first got my vsg, i hard core focused on learning when I was actually hungry and to ignore head hunger. It was hard but when I got rid of carbohydrates, I found that my head hunger went away for the most part. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. This thread is frustrating. But it's because of the OP. It doesn't matter if you had food left over from a family visit. You throw it away and take control. Stop the excuses. It's not a good look, sis. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  26. I had to take off six weeks. I work with individuals with mental and physical disabilities. It's very strenuous. But I think one to two weeks for a desk job should be okay.

  28. I used FMLA and I got paid every week by short term disability.
  29. If you can stomach them, I like pickles because they are zero calorie and fill me up if I get hungry.
