Again, thanks so much for understanding where I am coming from. I didnt state that I was going to get pregnant in 4 mths or 6 mths or 9 mths and do not know why I am being jumped at. I do not know whatever gave the idea that I take pregnancy and having children so lightly. Some people have shared several things, and with some sharing reasons (objectively) why getting pregnant early is not a good decision. At least me and other readers understand more now. And yes one of your points is correct about one of my many concerns. if I wait 18 mths I will be 38 and after I told my sleeve dr on my past fertility issues, he understood my concerns and he was concerned too. we agreed that we will relook at the situation in several more mths. Neither he nor me agreed that it was ok for me to get pregnant (Just to be clear in case some people assume I am trying to get knocked up as soon as possible) I have had a couple of fertility procedures that failed in the past 8 years hence time is ticking a bit fast for me as I know I am not the most of the fertile. Anyway, good tip about the supplements for egg quality etc and if I do get pregnant and give birth one day, I hope to breastfeed too. PS: So sorry to hear about your child and grandchild. Hugsss..

Thanks for your objective list and bringing up a few points that I will learn more. I am aware of Point 1 and 2 but Point 3 and 4 will be something that I will look into and talk more with my dr. So far I have not had GERD or heart burn issues but I understand that I am still early in my new journey and may still face it in the future. Thanks for the gist.

Following! It took us 4yrs to have my son and he just turned 1. I'd like to have the surgery in the next 3-4 months so I can hopefully wait the 12-18 months before trying for #2. Who knows how long it'll take!

    Best app or website

I like MyFitnessPal. I used to use the excellent CalorieKing.com and CalorieKing.com.au ... FatSecret.com.au is gaining a lot lately ... support seems great.

@sosewsue61 Thank you for your message and appreciate that you spoke up and replied. Hope you are well too in this journey. Again, based on the earlier response to your post, it shows how wrong assumptions are still made and obviously the objectives of my lengthy post was totally not understood. [emoji138] Some people are too quick to judge and too quick with their speeches that they do not stop to consider what was being said and what to say.

    Am I doomed?

SURE. Typical daily menu: Breakfast: I am Not a breakfast person, but I know it's important to get that protein in ASAP. So I start my day off with 8 oz of Fairlife Chocolate Milk. Its got some sugar, but it also has 13g protein! not bad at all. Sometimes I supplement this with a small handful of mixed nuts to up my protein levels. Sometimes, if I'm going to work out or I'm feeling shaky, I have a piece of peanut butter toast instead. Midmorning: Before lunch, I make sure to drink at least 16oz water. Lunch: I eat a LOT of cheese. Usually I make a little cheese plate with 2-3oz mixed hard cheeses (I'm all about this goat gouda atm), plus a tiny bit of honey, and a couple of crackers, with some strawberries or other fruit to go with it. I go through phases, though. Sometimes, instead, I make egg salad and eat egg salad with some crackers. Sometimes I toss some hard meats in here too, like salami, etc. It's all good, so long as it's high protein. Afternoon: Before dinner, I make sure to drink at least another 16oz water. Dinner: I do a lot of batch cooking. So Saturday or Sunday, I'll make something that I can work on for the whole week. My go-tos tend to be things like Chicken Tortilla soup (chock full of veggies etc), or curries (served without grain or with barley/faro instead of rice). Man, I haven't made curry in a few weeks. Note to self: make curry this weekend! Sometimes I also make something that night, if I go to the market. I'll cook lamb chops, or a piece or two of steak (I live with my bro, so I cook for him too) with some veggies for a side. Or a nice piece of fish; I really love salmon, but I only do it now and then. After dinner: 16 oz more water! Sweet: I like a sweet. I really, really like a sweet. So often in the evening, I have 1 piece of dove chocolate, or a protein-enriched low-calorie ice cream bar (like Enlightened Ice Cream!) Before bed: 16oz more water!! Eating out: I actually eat out....a lot. A couple times a week, I'd say. I tend to get an appetizer, or I get something high protein that I can reheat for a couple lunches/dinners the rest of the week. ______________________________ Honestly, eating isn't that weird? It's the same as I ate pre-op, after I started doing my high protein low carb diet. If you're trying to do something weird with your eating (I don't know what you're doing, so I can't say!) I can imagine it makes things harder. It doesn't have to be that different, imo. You don't need to substitute. You just need to use restraint. However, exercise has become a huge part of my life, and I wonder if this isn't maybe the key. I work out for 30-60 min ~5 times a week. Over the summer, while my building's pool was open, I did laps 3 times a week. Now that it's closed, I'm building up toward running. I usually do weight resistance training the other 2 days a week...

    Just received my bill.

The sickening part is if you paid cash for the exact same procedure and same length of stay it would've only been between $20,000 - $30,000. That's how much hospitals inflate the bills to make an insane amount. I know cause I paid cash and my surgeon was the best in Houston. So seriously...it's a shame they even charge you that $1,000.... This is why the cost of insurance is so out of hand.. I know..I work in the industry.

My medical group would not let me see my surgeon without a 6 month supervised diet. I appealed with multiple Weight Watchers records, personal diaries, a graph I put together of years worth if diet attempts, and information on a hospital supervised program I did (this one did not involved weighing in). I followed the example appeal letter in WLS for Dummies. Explained that another 6 month program would change nothing. That all I wanted was to be healthier for myself and my family. I won the appeal and did NOT have to do a 6 month program. But as previous posters have said, see what your surgeon and insurance company says. If your insurance company requires it, you will need to do an appeal to get around it. Best wishes to you!!
