    Help

Welcome! You are losing at a normal rate as a 'lightweight' with a sleeve. I assume you've been sleeved since this is posted in the gastric sleeve forum. When's the last time you previously lost 15 pounds per month through the old-fashioned way of diet and exercise? I suspect the answer is "Never." You started at 200 pounds. Please realize you'll never be one of those people who loses 30+ pounds monthly like a house on fire because you weren't that morbidly obese to begin with. The bigger the person, the faster they tend to lose. Realistic expectations are important during your weight loss journey. You didn't exactly become 200 pounds overnight and it will not fall off overnight, either. In fact, expect the rate of weight loss to slow the hell down from this point forward. I started at 218 pounds and had lost 27.5 pounds at 2 months out, so you are actually losing at a faster rate than me. After the first 2 months I lost at an average rate of 3 to 6 pounds monthly. However, I'm pleased with the final result: I lost 100 pounds and have kept it off so far. Good luck to you.

Eating More @ 7 months out

breakfast sandwich? processed food. lasagna? heavy carbs and gluten. sloppy joe? bread and added sugars. your issue is not quantity but quality. none of what you just listed is healthy. make better food choices and THEN let your appetite guide you. right now, the foods you are eating are not nutritionally dense, so your body is not satisfied, and therefore driving you to eat more. slippery slope you are on. correct it while it's still early.

    Here I am again

I'm back! Almost two years ago I went through the entire 6 month+process of jumping through all the hoops for insurance, weight-loss and actually getting a surgery date, only to chicken out 2 weeks before surgery and call the whole thing off. Now nearly two years later , 20 lbs heavier than when I started the first time, having developed Diabetes II and just generally hating life, I'm starting over in the process again. My PC submitted a new referral to the bariatric clinic and the new journey begins. I am ready this time.

    Milestone!

I hit 249 on scale today! First time in as many years as I can remember (probably 7 years or more) that I've been below 250! Success is possible! Those who struggle - keep at it and celebrate the little victories! Sent from my LG-TP450 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Apnea & Gastric Sleeve??

I have used a CPAP for years and had several procedures with full anesthesia. I have never had any issues. Just make sure the anesthesiologist knows. Unfortunately I don't think my apnea is weight related but it qualified as a co-morbidity so I'm not complaining.
