Hey BariatricPal members, we’re finally ready to release the first beta version of our very own BariatricPal Mobile app for iOS! This new release is a complete rewrite of the mobile app from the ground up. In addition to the forums, we’ve also added native magazine support and user galleries to the new app. The ability to “Like” posts and other content has also been overhauled to support reactions in addition to simply liking content. While we have dedicated a tremendous amount of time into development and testing of the new BariatricPal app, we do expect there to be bugs and issues in this early release. I only joined this group on 7.4.26, but it wasn't until today that I found a post that said to use the desktop version instead of the mobile version. Yes, when using my phone, hence, the mobile version, I don't see tickets, a way to add my surgery information, and many more cool things. Phone users, click on the snowman in the top right corner of your phone while in your account. Choose desktop site. You might need to refresh once you do that. It's a totally better experience. 🙂 Yeah. Maybe, they will eventually make the mobile version just as good soon. 🤔

Yesterday, I changed My Surgery from Mini Gastric Bypass to Gastric Bypass (see 1st screenshot). However, my profile and display info on posts still says “Mini Gastric Bypass Patients”. (See screenshots 2 and 3.) How can I remedy this? Thank you in advance!

I don’t see how to enter my height, BMI, etc under the “My Surgery” tab in my profile? I did figure out how to enter my starting and current weights but the rest of the information I can’t figure it out. Do I need the app to do that? I’m on the website.

Hi everyone, We’ve officially discontinued the old iOS and Android apps and moved over to a Progressive Web App instead. It’s faster, lighter, and easier to update. We’re also planning to add push notifications and other new features in the coming weeks. For those of us not super up on technology maybe an instructional video on navigating the new site would be helpful. I’m sure like anything the updates are great once you figure it out but I am having a bit of trouble figuring out where things are now. Just a thought. : )

I use my phone most times and I see the first so many words of these posts but I can’t figure out how to read the whole thing. I can click to reply but don’t know what I’m replying to. Anyone know if I’m just missing something or do o just need to drag out another device.

It seems like more and more new users forget to use the sidebar with surgery info and progress. While it's obviously anyone's choice to keep the information private, it makes it so much easier to help with questions when you have an idea of where people are in their journey. I'm wondering if it's simply because more users are mobile-only? Maybe they don't see the sidebars (I use BP on desktop only)? Maybe they don't even know it's there? It's especially helpful when someone asks about nutrition, complications, phase-specific worries and stalls to understand right off the bat where they are in their journey. Please add the option to list a second surgery to our profile if possible. I’m thinking it’s kinda confusing to people that I am asking questions about pre op when I had surgery three years ago. Also please add the SADI surgery to the list of surgeries as well.

Does anyone know when Syntrax Nectar Protein Powder will be available, specifically the roadside lemonade flavor. It has been out for several weeks, maybe a month or more? I am bothered by the fact that anyone on the internet can search the BP community and all of the forum topics, posts, profiles with our account information is available to anyone. I have vulnerable questions and want to be honest and authentic in my post and engagement with other WLS patients, but due to professional reasons am wary of the inability to privatize forums to only BP registered users. I created my account by signing onto the site using my Google/Gmail account. Since then I have downloaded the app and when I try to sign on using the app it wants my name and password. But I have never used a password and cannot find a way to add one. What do I need to do so I can sign on from the App (specifically the Android App).

Hi. I am trying to update my goal weight which I need to do on my laptop. Well, somehow I got logged out and my password is not working. I tried to recover but the email still has not come after 30 minutes (I checked my junk folder). Is it because it’s past business hours? Or any technical issues going on?? Hello Friends! I had a lap band done years ago and have a ticker here showing that and my status as lap band patient. I now have had the revision from lap band to bypass and would like to add a new ticker and change my patient status. Can anyone give me the directions on how to change all this? I can't find it anywhere and don't remember how I did it 14 years ago! If anyone from Bariatric Pal sees this, please include an instructional section to the website. Thanks!

Is anyone else experiencing weird goings on with this site? Last week while I was on here, my user name changed to Alex Beecher and I could see all of his info such as address, phone number, and his ordering history. I contacted the customer service and they helped me fix it. I had to clear my cache and do some other stuff, but it worked. Now today as I was on here, my points were 903 and when my page refreshed it was down to 863. I contacted customer service once again and this time they could not help me? Does anyone know how to delete the before, and after pics from your profile? I can't figure it out.

For some reason, my profile will not allow me to correct my surgery date. Every time I try to correct it, it reverts to the date before the actual date I put in.

I’ve tried to add my surgery information under “My Surgery” in forum threads. I click on each category & won’t let me enter anything. I’m also using my IPhone. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I can no longer log in here to my original account. I had used the Facebook option to sign up, but now when I try to enter that way, I get an error message in Facebook. Is this a known issue? Hello, I am pre-op but under my profile pic it says "Gastric bypass patients." I'm sure I choose something I shouldn't have. I see others with "pre op" under their profile pictures but I can't figure out how to get "pre op" under mine. Can you tell me how I can get it to say pre op under my profile picture instead of saying Gastric Bypass Patients? Thanks!

There has been an increase in spam lately particularly responding to posts. Is it possible to limit the number of posts a new member posts in their first 24 hours particularly when those posts are in a language other than English or if it can be detected that the posts are exactly the same or nearly the same please? It is about 6.45pm now in Australia and a spammer/spam bot has just posted 29 posts (or more if they are still going).

I was wondering if it were possible to remove from view removed spam posts. Though removed they are still visible to read in the unread content but when clicking on the threads they were posted in they are not there (as should be the case).

With your new changes I can't seem to find the place to go to make changes to my ticker. This is not an improvement.

The title says it all. I joined the website, saw a section in my profile where I could upload photos, and then I went gung-ho on uploading every photo I had that I felt showed my current weight. Turns out, all my photos were actually uploaded to a shared gallery for before and after pictures, which definitely wasn't my intention. I am really hoping to get them removed, even if it's a moderator that may need to make those changes. Thank you.

Is anyone else’s app not working? I’ve deleted app, logged out and logged back in and it still says session expired.
