When did you movr on to mushies after banding?

I am 1 week post op today and still on liquids only. I am starting to crave something mushie, a scrambled egg, soup thats not clear like tomato or some creamed chicken. HOWEVER I still have 1 more full week on liquids before my mushie stage begins .... so just wondering what others have done?

I have been banded for one week also and was craving something else besides clear broth so, I added in some meats and veggies, garlic, pepper, etc. then strained it. It added so much more flavor...and helped me a lot.

p.s. How have you lost so much weight so far? You've only been banded a week???

A friend of mine said he would take a can of soup with veggies, pasta, etc.. and strain it and drink that broth.. and he loved it that way .. .lots of flavor

I lost most of that on the pre op diet, I have lost 5 since being banded. I am going to have some sugar free fat free jello pudding tonight, thats on my diet so will start that. I am only just starting to feel hunger but barley. How about you? When were you banded and how much have you lost?

Congratulations!!!! I know it was a long time coming for you

I think I started mushies at week 3 (but I was on full liquids for the first two weeks, so could have cream Soups - although I didn't really want any).

How is your hubby doing now? I remember he was initially having a lot of pain, right?

Yes...he had a ver bad recovery. And was in bed like 2 weeks. He has been banded 6 weeks now, has had one fill and is doing much better thank you for asking.

Now it's finally my turn! Yippie! After all that waiting. My really good news is that I move on to mushies next Tuesday then am alowed to move to soft foods the 24th! So at Christmas even dinner I can eat! My Mother in law (whom I adore) has us all over for dinner and she is an amazing cook. YIPPIE! Just gotta get through the next few days....I am feeling better...not really hungry, just bouts of head hunger.
