Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Just had surgery on Tuesday 11/24

How long were you "uncomfortable"? I'm still taking pain killers every 5 or 6 hours. It is the min. amount that I can take, but don't want to take them forever.

BTW: I'm from South Carolina. I'm 46 and had surgery in South Carolna.

Hi there,

I am from RI and was banded on the 12th. I was taking pain meds till about 2 days ago. I'm still uncomfortable and I get tired fast. I didn't realize the pain I would feel after this surgery but every day I feel a little bit better.

Hang in there.. we'll both do great!

Thanks for the response. By now, I've really slacked off on the pain meds. Now, I'm just dealing with only eating Soup for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Let me know how your first doctors visit goes when you go back. I go back 2 weeks post op. How about you?
