Lack of Energy...

I'm 11 days post-op and have absolutely no energy! I used to drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee and maybe an iced tea throughout the day but was told to not drink any caffinated drinks post-op. Is it the lack of caffine or the lack of food that is causing this? I'm in the mushie stage.

Around day 10 or 11 I felt no energy. I added a protein drink (EAS advantedge) form Wal Mart to my daily intake. Upping the protein helped a lot. Hope you get your energy back real soon. I'm 16 days post op now and feel good. I'm also in the mushy stage. Doctor said I can try skinless chicken as long as I chew it really good.

I agree that you may need more protein. Also, vitamins are very important. Try adding Biotin and Vitamin D as well as taking a multi-vitamin and calcium.

I have been banded for 13 days. I'm still feeling my way through this and have had a few weird side effects. One of my side effects was the feeling of weakness & lack of energy. I am getting about 50 gr of protein in and taking the vitamins. I went to the Dr. yesterday and my blood pressure was way too low. She stopped my blood pressure medication for 2 days and on day 3 I start taking it again at half dosage. I sure hope this helps me - don't like the weak feeling at all !!!!
