Date is now set January 07,2010 and really scarred.

Hi all, I am officially in the surgery schedule for 01/07/2010

and for what ever reason I am really scarred. not so much doubts but yessssss alot of doubts and so many more what if's..... will I do it ? can i doit? what if i dont lose any weight! what if i die(lol) im sorry but i have thought that has anyone gone throught this? what did you do to cope? i feel like i am struggling so bad right now what is gonna happen after bein banded. I feel like i am going in differant directions I am tryin to quit smoking , tryin to eat better, tryin to workout every other day instead of everymonth to start off till i do it everyday , I have no positive role model in my life I feel like this might be another dead end deal for me when i know it will work as long as i work it but that little bit inside me continues to have a little doubts. If there is anyone that feels the same way I would love to chat maybe become friends desperately in need....:w00t:

Best of luck!!

I'm sure many or most of us faced fears and doubts. It's part of the process.

If you do a search on this board about "regrets", you'll find that most people have no regrets. Or, at least, the biggest regret I've read here is "I wish I would have done it sooner." LOL

No regrets here. I was banded at the end of May and I'm still on a high from it. I feel SO much better, the weight is coming off. Surgery went fine, recovery wasn't rough, and I still feel like I can eat the things I love - just a lot less of them. I don't feel deprived or anything. I'm very happy with my decision (and had been on the fence about it for 5 years prior).

I hope you are here in June giving someone else encouragement based upon your own happy story.
