Did you find certain foods made you nauseous after the band?

I was banded on Oct 19th and I'm on Phase III- my Dr said I could try egg salad. I'm currently in what could only be described as Bandster Hell (hungry yet no restriction and nothing gets stuck) but I'm dealing with it pretty well. I tried the egg salad 4 days ago. I used to love egg salad pre-band. It made me fairly nauseous the other day. I thought it might be because I hadn't had any fats in so long. (I made it with low fat mayo- I hate the fat free kind). I tried it again today and same thing. I had about 2 Tablespoons and became nauseous. Now common sense says to just not have it anymore and I probably won't for a long time. But I find it odd that I would have that reaction. It's not like the band is something hormonal and would cause a reaction like pregnancy to morning sickness. Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar reactions to food they used to like, but now they get nauseous from them. Thanks.

I have tried eggs twice since being banded and both times had problems. I have accepted the fact that I just can not have eggs.

What a bummer! I love eggs. I hope this does not happen to me!!

Yeah - I'm the same... no eggs for me now :w00t:

I adored egg before surgery, now it REALLY makes me feel ill, and if I DO eat it (like I did out of politeness once when a friend invited me for my (old) favourite lunch - Ommelette) I get gripes in my stomach and then whoooooooooooosh, I need to run to the loo, and not for being sick!!!!

I steer well clear now!
