only taking half my blood pressure meds. and water weight

The Doc took me off half of my dose of blood pressure/water pill meds. While thats great ive gained a couple lbs due to water weight. My ankles are swelling slightly. Will this go away as my body gets used to the lack of water pill or does it mean I still need to take the whole dose?

Tell your doctor you are swelling. I used to take blood pressure meds that contained a diuretic. My doc ended up having to prescribe new BP meds without diuretic and prescribe the diuretic separately. I now take Lisinopril and Lasix.
