I can't eat french fries (not that I should anyway) no matter what. I have tried a time or two in the last two years with catastrophic results. Only one fry chewed up to a mushy pulp and SICKNESS for hours to come. Guess that's a good thing cuz I love em' and they are not the most healthy things.

Also tried a teeny tiny bit of an apple fritter once and paid the price. I can eat eggs like a champ tho! And my wonderful 12 yr old makes them better than a 5-star chef! :w00t:

I had a big surprise last night. I had been thinking I didn't have as much restriction as last week, because food was going down well. I ate some steak that I had cooked all day in the crock pot, and was really soft. I was full in about 3 bites but pushed a little more because I thought I was wrong. I think it was the steak. I have been able to eat it in the past but now I am not so sure. I brought some with me to work today, so I will carefully try some more. Hope it works.

I can't eat rice unless it is really mushy. I love chinese fried rice and I have to completely give up on that.

I can't eat eggs either unless I mix a lot of mayo in them as egg salad.< /p>

Also, bread is a problem and I slimed several times on it but continue to eat it because I love it!!!!!!!

I had my surgery on November the 18th, and I can eat anything! I also eat very slow and chew my food very well. If I start to feel like I'm going to belch, I know that I'm full and stop eating. Certain things I do not eat because I know that they are not good for my diet, but so far, I have had no problems with food. I know that most people do not drink when eating (you are not suppose to), but I find that taking a sip every once in a while, helps me when eating dryer items, like chicken. To me, it's the same as eating Soup. You have your liquid with the dry portion of the meat. I know that you should not drink too much because it fills you up and you won't be able to eat your food, but a little sip through the meal is a big help to me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
