That would definitely make it more interesting but if she were, she would be losing weight a lot faster.

I knew it would be down to Liz and Amanda for the third finalist spot. Rudy and Danny just have so much weight to lose that their percentages don't even compare.

I'm really curious how the guys still lost so much weight. I think it was Rudy that lost 59 pounds--in 60 days. How were they pulling those big numbers when doing it at home? I get this feeling that they were using less than honorable ways to get there, because I know one of them said they can only work out 2 hours a day, and with spending 12 hours a day working, I doubt he even did it every day. Maybe I'm just skeptical, but 7 pounds a week for about 8 weeks straight is really unrealistic to pull off at home with just diet and exercise.

I hate the way they word the voting on the website - who would you like to shield from elimination? It should be either who do you want to eliminate, or who do you want to make it into the finals? Too confusing. I voted to shield Amanda, because Liz just keeps getting on my nerves. Honestly I don't want either one of them in the finals.

I thought Amanda would finish first in the marathon, since she's the smallest and I would think that running would be easiest on her body. I was happy to see Dina came back to run with Rudy, but I thought she had lost more weight when they showed her progress when she was eliminated.

I was jumping up and down when I saw Tara come join them - she's still my favorite Green Machine :tongue2:

I voted for amanda.. I love her.. Though I dont think either of those girls have a chance in hell to win but I think amanda deserves to be in the finals more then liz does..

No, it was actually Danny who lost 59 pounds in 60 days. Rudy lost I think 45? or 43lbs? Which was still good. Rudy is the one who works 12 hours a day - he is having a hard time fitting in the exercise, but he obviously is doing it because he has lost over 40 lbs.

Danny is the one that keeps losing double digits - EVERY WEEK, so it really doesn't surprise me too much he lost 59 pounds.

Not sure if anyone went online - but they have a video - a clip, of Danny revealing a secret to Jillian. They didn't show it on tv, but evidently, he couldn't sleep in his own bed, he was too heavy and couldn't breath laying down flat. So, he had a black recliner next to the bed that he had to sleep with. He took the nice leather recliner chair out to the curb and put a sign on it "free, found a new life". Good for him!

I'm rooting for Danny, he is from my hometown here in Oklahoma! I hadn't really decided who I was hoping to win until last night, but after seeing the show, I'm hoping Danny wins.

I ended up voting for Liz last night, mainly because I think she can show America its never too late to get healthy. IMO. Amanda was on my nerves last night, too much crying. I know, its an emotional time, but it seemed everytime they showed her she was crying. Running, she cried, the very first clip, she was crying, blah blah blah. I guess I was not in the mood for cryers last night, I wanted to see DETERMINATION, FIGHT, and the attitude "I CAN DO THIS".

Can't wait for the finale to see how everyone has done.

Did anyone catch the clip of Danny's coming home party? They showed Sean - the youth pastor in the crowd (he's from Oklahoma too) and he sure didn't look like he has lost much.

Anyhow, this is the first time that I'm actually excited to watch the show this entire season? I guess because its the finale.

Oh by the way, I enjoyed the NYT article. I was wondering what happened to Ryan, the first season winner. I've watched the show since then and he used to have his own website, but since has taken it down. Now I know why.

I knew I saw him in the crowd! I was waiting for them to have a little mini-interview with him or point him out somehow, or do SOMETHING, but they just showed him in the crowd in that one shot and that was it.

It's not as difficult as women think for a fat man to lose 1 pound a day.

With a 2 hour workout and weighing in at 300 lbs he probably burns 5,000 calories a day. All he had to do is keep calorie consumption to less than 1,500 a day.

Having their Bodybuggs made this a lot easier for them.

I still can't believe Liz finished a marathon in under 7.5 hours. On top of that, she slowed down to wait for Dnny the whole way.

I have to say GO LIZ, I know a lot of people on this thread don't seem to like her but she has a kind heart. You can tell by the way she gave Danny her home video and the way she hung with him on that run to make sure he made it. And I have to say a women that is almost 50 years old and weighed over 200 lbs just 11 wks ago not only running a marathon but finishing it is amazing

Danny already looks sick in the face, but I guess he needs to thin out and impress the girlfriend Liz.

Those two still creep me out a bit, so I guess I'm hoping for Rudy. Amanda is still Yet Another Anonymous Blond, and will no doubt plump back up after finding a man.

This season has been pretty boring, after the Tara Machine and Ronfather last season.

I totally agree w/you about everything.

I like Danny, but I want Rudy to win.

I saw the youth minister when Danny came home and I thought they would have even acknowledged him, but they didn't. Was it my eyes but didn't Tara look a lil thick again?

Tara did look like she gained a bit back, but she still looks really good and I'm still proud of her. I don't think she'd let herself gain it ALL back, maybe her body is just more comfortable with a little extra cushion.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
